Great tutorial. What just personally often bugs me is that Gaussian blur is used as a substitute for lens blur. They are not the same and blur very differently. Gaussian blur just uniformly blurs everything and it’s just mush while with real physical lens blur the structure is different and you still have Definition and sharp edges around blurred highlights. That’s why I still use After Effects for fake lens blur in post production. It just looks so much better. But I get that this wasn’t the point of the video.
Also some motion mightmake the transition even smoother!
