An excellent opportunity for the petrol electric generator conversion to propane gas. The converting is very easy and very simple and the only tools you might need are a pair of pliers and a screwdriver with one conversion gas fitting. A great prepper project or piece of knowledge that may get you out of a fix at some point using existing common technology and an alternative fuel source.

Propane conversion for a gas generator without a conversion kit. WARNING: Make sure you got engineering background and assist by professional assistant, this can be extremely dangerous. Do not let it run unattended. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

All that being said, the conversion was extremely simple. The whole process took about five minutes.

When you first start the generator, use very little propane. Once it starts the valve can be opened up until the sweet spot is found. The propane flow will need to be adjusted once the generator is under load. You will notice when I attempted to start the generator it took several tries. That's because the carburetor chock was open too far. Chock selector must always in close position to minimize the air intake.

*REMEMBER THAT IF THE ENGINE DIES THE PROPANE WILL KEEP FLOWING SO ALWAYS USE THIS SETUP OUTDOORS, ALWAYS DISCONNECT PROPENE REGULATOR WHEN ENGINE STOP OR UNIT NOT BEEN USED*
