I’m glad I pulled through, despite the crises. I am retiring next yr at 55 with 3 houses paid off worth 4.5 million . One is my place of residence the other 2 properties will give me $80,000per/yr rent . I will have an income stream of $20,000 per yr through my super which gives me total $100,000 a yr to live comfortably . I have no debts ... Stay Motivated!!

Good video. Thanks. I read The 4-Hour Work Week when it came out in 2007, read it again later. I couldn't do everything in the book, but I don't think that's the value of a book like this. It changes your mindset. Travel. I've always like staying in hostels (even though I'm an old guy. It might be different here in the States. Foreign hostels I was always welcome) I like camping, even if sometimes that's just outside a train station (in Japan just outside a train station is better than and KOA here). What I learned from Tim Ferriss is don't plan a two week trip, just book the first night off the plane. After that make it up as you go. His whole mindset that you can live someplace amazing for less than it costs to live at home is priceless. (On many trips 50% of my costs were fixed costs back home, my house, car insurance, etc...)
What's also interesting is the time Ferriss spends talking about his mail order supplements business. I never had any intention of doing anything like that. None. Yet following his meticulous descriptions of setting up his business, testing products, operating it was informative not just in general business practices, but also the mindset. I'm sure we all remember our first jobs constantly calculating how much money we're making per minute, if we work an extra day.... We eventually stop doing that because it's a trap. Doing a low wage not very interesting job has no eventual bright upside. In school learn like the subjects are a secret formula, getting straight A's just makes you a better cog in the machine, but pushing beyond the subjects - that's liberating. I covered for another teacher one day. The lesson was the French Revolution. Students just wanted to write down everything on every slide of the powerpoint (which I'd corrected the mistakes of - this PP is widely used across the country for years with errors no one bothered to correct.) I told students, don't write down these names. I've read books on this I don't know those names, no one does (and I'm not talking about Marais, Robbespierre or Danton). The real lesson of the French Revolution is that the King wanted more taxes but didn't want to share power. He locked the Third Estate out of his palace, so they walked over to his tennis court (indoors) and formed the National Assembly. The real lesson is you don't wait for the guys in charge to give you permission, or allow you to do something - if it's good, just get started. I told students the meaning of this is if they teach each other, raise their math and reading skills, they can take over their school. The people running them now can't raise reading and math scores (but these are achievable). They just wanted to grind away taking notes about obscure people and when they were born and when they died. Lesson for people watching this video? There are many ways to implement the basic ideas of Tim Ferriss, they don't have to be exactly how he did them. Learning from him can change your mindset. I walked out of teaching with almost no pension knowing I'd figure it out. I have. There are few things more powerful and fun than learning, there are few things more miserably depression than being around a lot of people who aren't interested. I made a lot of money investing in Apple, now Tesla. Both choices seemed at the time (then and now) as obvious I shared what I knew with anyone who was interested. In over ten years two people followed my lead. Here's what I know about over ten years of Apple. At any time and any price, if you bought Apple stock and held it for five years you'd make a lot of money - beat the market by double. I think the same thing applies now to Tesla stock, but I think it's going to be even bigger. Writing this two days before the stock split Tesla might open on Monday at $442/share and immediate drop to $200. It might stay at $200 for two years - that won't matter. Of course if you buy it at $200 instead of $400 you'll make twice as much. The general rule for investments is you can spend 4% of their net every year. So $100k gives you $4k a year. Not that much, but that 4% per year will go on year after year forever. If you bought Apple ten years ago, you could spend 10% per year and you can still do that for at least five more years. Even better Apple has averaged 22-35% per year over the past ten years depending on when you started. Both are great numbers.(every 3 years or so you double your money). Again I think Tesla is going to do better. Now should you based on some random troll go out and buy these stocks? No, but you should learn from the mindset.
Okay, no editing or I'll just hit delete. Hopefully someone gets something out of this.

in the best-selling book from 2007. - The 4 hour Work Week! And I ask you, have you ever met or even heard of a
person who achieved super success that followed this regimen? WTF! Anyone? And I am told that the author
works more than 4 hours a week! Are you all stupid or just utterly naive? Or as a saying that is often credited to
PT Barnum, the great carnival circus barker – “there is a sucker born every minute!”

Ferris is a marketing genius...his whole "fear thing" is silly. I'm not the least bit fearful and I'm happy to go against the grain. Unfortunately, I'm not a marketing genius. Ferris has lots of stories about breaking out of the "daily grind". But I'm certain that some have not been successful after many, many tries. I know because I'm there now. I won't give up.
