putting aside all the historical innacuracies, i think this is the best part of the campaign of this shitty game, africa is seen again, the australians are a faction know and the main character is the best character of all, if only there have been italians......

I forgot how corny this was , I love Australia and New Zealand but the implication that they had their flag ripped off and swapped with a Union Jack is just insane, idk why ppl in the comments are trying to claim that as legit. 58% of all casualties were from the UK, and the 2nd highest was 22% for Australians. But instead the mission and story makes it seem like Australia was led by one incompetent aristocrat who stole all the credit… is this meant to be a dig at Montgomery or something? The most ironic part is that the enlistments for the war initially required people to only be of European origin… the game makes it seem like Australia was some penal colony full of convicts when in actual fact they held the same privileges, allowing them to discriminate against aboriginals and Chinese soldiers who enlisted.

It’s sad that people take more issue with the rounds in a gun than they do to the abysmal storyline, it’s so insane to me that they find it so difficult to give commonwealth forces the credit they deserve WITHOUT throwing the UK under the bus. Ironically, this isn’t even the worst portrayal of the sides involved, as Italy managed to somehow be removed COMPLETELY from THEIR OWN BATTLE. First the Germans abandon them, and now Sledgehammer too 😂😂

Imagine there was a Call of Duty game but it focus on Axis Powers instead. One is German campaign from North Africa to Berlin and the other was Imperial Japan campaign from Asian campaign to the bloody last stand in Iwo Jima. The main characters aka First Person Shooter will found themselves torn between loyalty to their nation and their morality regarding the war as well as the consequences.
