ОтветитьI cannot for the life of me figure out/find the song that uses that same sample. When you played the chops before you changed the tempo is when I recognized it. Please help lol
ОтветитьWhat a great tip...look for the 'simpler' parts of a record. Brilliant. I learn so much from your videos.

Ответитьhey man i just wanted to ask if the process of chopping samples in hiphop is similar to drum and bass?? Especially artists like macc and dgohn and nic tvg, nobody talks about it excepts little bit in forums like dogs on acid. I'd like you to break it down if you have some time.
ОтветитьJust went cratedigging this Weekend. Felt like this Video is for me! I will try your Trick:)
Sorry for being a little offtopic rn but... I wondered what you were enjoying in your glass?
Keep it up my dude
Man!!! So inspiration !
ОтветитьHey man, your initial tip about looking at a piece of vinyl and looking at the grooves took me right back to when I started crate digging in the early 80s. We didn't have shops with listening booths or portable turntables powered by batteries. It was a ton of guess work. Mostly educated guesses based on the year, the line-up, the haircuts of the band (afros usually a bonus point), what label it was on, and yes, as you said, checking out the vinyl and looking for darker areas that often designated drum breaks or breakdowns. I honestly haven't thought about that for so long as most of my crate digging is online now and I get to hear the record, research it, ask about it in forums, check WhoSampled, etc etc. People have it sooooooo much easier nowadays dude lol Thanks for the memory and the video.
ОтветитьI love how you chopped that and made it funky
ОтветитьBeen watching MPC beat making videos for a few weeks now and yours feel super accessible.
ОтветитьOkay okay! 🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьHey Ry, question: would you consider making a video about your research process? You have very specific information and im realty curious as to how you gathered it, like how you went about it beside practice.
ОтветитьDope.
ОтветитьUr a godsend
ОтветитьGreat tips thanks
ОтветитьYo you dropped gems in this video…..I will look at all my records differently. Salute
ОтветитьHi Ryan. May I ask if you connect your Stanton turntable directly to your MPC one, or does it first need to go through an external pre-amp? I'm trying to figure this out. I have a pioneer turntable with an external pre-amp, but I'm in the market for a turntable with a pre-amp built in. Thanks for letting me know.
ОтветитьThank you bro
ОтветитьSick beat man
ОтветитьDo a j dilla beat
