The story turned out better for Stephen King. He is a master at capturing a moment in time, including all the emotions that go with it. Also, notice how Gage was flying a kite.

I saw this movie years ago when I was little and it was traumatizing! But now that I’m older and I’m a mom of a little boy, my question is this. Why in the hell didn’t mom run after the baby to? I mean I know it’s a movie and shit but it would have been more realistic. For one because as a mom, you bet your ass I would have been running my ass as fast as I could! No screaming in the sidelines! It’s instinctive for a mother.
