iPhone 5 - the last “true” iPhone?

I actually felt that «iphone feeling» with the iPhone X. That screamed new and original - a beautiful product that Steve would have been proud of.

The next after that didn’t catch that feeling again

honestly i'm really curious to think what steve jobs thinks of iPhone now, what he would change. not gonna lie i'd probably buy it.

The last great iPhone was the 6s in my opinion

I do wonder what the iPhone would look like today with jobs still around, but I think it was easier to make big leaps back then every year.
I think hardware wise the new iPhones are very good. They could do better on the software though.
Just a shame Apple is so focused on profits. (Music playback is lagging on my iPhone 7 with iOS 15, something an iPod could do literally 20 years ago).

I loved that phone. I only got into iPhone because my best friend gave me his old iPhone 4. I used to roll with Nextel. 😂 I liked the simplicity of the 4 and upgraded to the 5 when it rolled out. However the 6S has been my favorite. I liked it so much that I used it from the day it debuted in 2015 until now towards the end of 2022. I finally upgraded and went with the 14 Pro. 😂

I believe apart from ditching skeumorphism the 2nd thing that marks end of jobs era with iPhones is protruding camera in iPhone 6 onwards. he would've never allowed that

i think that the 4 is peak iPhone in terms of design. i feel that there are still some things that apple could adopt from the Steve jobs era. For starters the iPhone 4 had a camera flush with the back glass where modern iPhone (from the 6 onwards) is starting to look ridiculous, the lack of a headphone jack, and the use of glossy stainless steel as opposed to the brushed stainless steel. i would rather have a thicker iphone with a camera that sits flush with the back with greatly improved battery life and the headphone jack returning. I am starting to really not like how apple keeps increasing the size of the camera bump. Don't get me wrong, the 5 is a good design but i feel the 4 being more ahead of its time and more parts of the 4 have aged better.

For me the iPhone X was the last iPhone with aesthetically pleasing design.

While I agree with you mostly when it comes to the 6 and 6s design and to this day I refuse to add them to my collection but I can say one thing I have always liked the gold color maybe not so much on the 6 but on my 5s that i have grime back in the day one of my favorite colors and design the 5 and 5s are a couple of my favorite versions of the iPhones

I bought the iPhone 13 Pro a couple of weeks ago after using the iPhone 10 since release day. I think upgrading every 3 generations is the best way to go, wow what an upgrade.

Apple is not the same without Steve Jobs and Tim Cook rips people off. I use an iPod touch 4 white 32gb with retina display panel 960x480.

The asymmetrical camera bump on the 6 was just so ugly. Also, it's funny how massive the bump has gotten on the 13 Pro. The newer iPhones are genuinely so nice to use, though, and the price hasn't gone up in four years, so I'll take it.

I’m sure Jobs would have eventually added some larger phones, but would have also kept the smaller size of the iPhone 5 around. I have an iPhone 8, which isn’t big by today’s standards, but I really miss the size of the iPhone 4/5
