Hello, I'm from india and I'm a hindu. I would like to correct you on some parts you mentioned. Like you pronounced ' gangari ' but it is ' gandhari ' and you also said ' vindu ' but it is ' vidur '.
Also karna was born not from kunti's first marriage but from the boon that was given to her by sage Durvasa. She was a teenager then and out of curiosity summoned the sun god (surya ) by chanting the mantra to summon sun god (the boon) even after being warned by the sage that the consequences of misusing the boon would be disastrous she still used it. After summoning sun god, sun god told her that he can't go back and she will have a child. ( i have to tell here one thing that karna is a part of sun god but not exactly kunti and surya's child ).
In another part you said that when Yudhistir reached heaven...there you were wrong. Yudhistir never reached heaven first, he had to go through hell first to go to heaven...though other pandavs and draupadi went to heaven. Yudhistir was known for being the most righteous and he never ever lied to anyone. Once in the kurushetra war, he had to half lie to his guru Dronacharya that his son aswathamma has been killed but yudhistir actually said the half truth. The truth was that his guru couldn't be defeated easily. He was really powerful. In order to defeat him Yudhistir took the name of an elephant named aswathamma and hearing this name his guru dropped his weapons and hence killed. Because of this half truth he had to face hell and from there he was taken to heaven.
Yes, in the same part there was no gatekeeper of heaven. When yudhistir reached the end of the cliff, the dog who had accompanied him in his journey turned into the lord of death, Yama ( his father ). And In the next part the king of heaven, Indra came himself in his chariot to take Yudhistir to heaven in his mortal body.Yudhistir is actually the only one who went to heaven with his mortal body.

I would like to say one more thing that for many this characters and our epic might be fictional or fantasy but the reality is this is real and our history. They were as real as you and me. And they once walked on this earth. It is upto y'all to believe in this or not but we hindus know from within our soul that this is real how much the non-believers try to deny it.

A little correction- pandu was the king even when he left dhritarashtra was just a temporary king until pandu came but since he died pandu son yudhistra should have been the king automatically but dhritarashtra didn't wanted that and never gave the kingdom back to him

During the draupadi marriage karna was indeed allowed to take part

a few corrections:

1. Satyavati was never married before. Vyasa was born out of wedlock.

2. Pandu wasn't exiled, he went on an extended holiday with his wives and children. Draw the parallel between bejng cursed for dying by having sex with some sexual illness, and he used to go away on vacations away from the city to live in the greenery of the forests.

3. There was no first marriage of Kunti, Kunti was only ever married once. All her child were each born from the Devas. Including Karna who was born before she was married to King Pandu.

Very good video and explanation. I watched this because I'm about to read a fantasy novel by Gourav Mohanty called Sons of Darkness and its a fantasy novel based on the Mahabharata. This is one of the only epic fantasy novels/series written by an Indian author living in India. Can't wait to read this book now that I have a better understanding of the Mahabharata. Thanks!

The Mahabharata is undoubtedly an epic of unparalleled brilliance and intrigue, surpassing Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings by a billion-fold in its richness and fascination. I can't help but wonder when an ingenious Indian creator will rise to the occasion and present a high-quality rendition of this magnificent epic for the entire world to cherish. Its greatness remains one of the most cherished legacies of humanity. My heart yearns for a series that matches the production quality and grandeur of Game of Thrones, bringing the timeless tale of the Mahabharata to life in all its glory.

They say that, the war was so destructive that most of the men folk died in the war, warriors from all parts of the world took part in the battle, They even have a character named, KalaYavana (which literally means, Dark Greek man).

Pyres upon pyres being burnt of bodies, the land of Kurukshetra (modern day, Haryana, India) turned red in color and still can be seen red. The sun didn't rise for months because of the smoke from millions of Pyres being burnt, coverd the sky pitch black.

The war created chaos and crumbles the society, which Krishna already knew and told that this is law of nature no body can stop it, one will unintentionally only support it.

Wailing of the widows echoed in the sky and human civilization ceased to progress and gotten into decline. That's how the different surviving communities scattered and settled in different regions. So began the dark ages, the Yadava Clan destroy themselves completely through a civil war.

The greatest statesmen, politician, and diplomat to ever live, Krishna dies, in the forest alone, helpless, because no body is there, for even the God.

Last Virtous king Parikshit takes the throne in the declined society and tries to gather it, but then again, it has gone back to herds and tribe like cultures, from the glory. Parikshit looses and makes way for the Kali(Darkness) to take over.

Hence comes the Kaliyuga, the age of Darkness which we live in, tribes societies, nations, religions emerge, cruel emperors, Kings and dictators grow. The Kaliyuga continues in one form or another, so Krishna spoke.

The Dog was the incarnation of God Dharma ie:- God of Righteousness. It was from him that Kunti had bore Yudhishtira. Thus, Yudhishtira was son of Dharma(the one who in form of dog had tested his loyalty and compassion(Anrishamsyata- the highest Righteousness). After this too he is sent to hell for speaking an intentioal half truth during the war.

In Hindu mythology, Heaven and Hell are temporary places assigned based on your Karma and Righteousness. U remain in a cycle of brith till you receive liberation either by Karma Yoga, Jnana Yoga or Bhakti Yoga to come out of this cycle.
