HOW TO KICKFLIP THE FASTEST WAY TUTORIAL FOR BEGINNERS

I'm 33. When I was a youngin never could keep my front foot to come down on the board. I have an 8 year old that has taking to skateboarding. She needs to be inspired by her dad so here I am lol wish me luck

I just got a new skateboard and tried to kick flip and landed it first try

Technically I've been skating on and off for like 5 years now (mostly off) I got the ollie down and slowly started getting on my board less and less. The braile team and their videos inspire me to continue learning, and with these videos, Im not intimidated by the kickflip anymore.

alright so i’ve watched my brother skate for a few years and i kinda rode around as a kid. but really got into it. now i’m older and my roommate has a skateboard so i casually fool around on when we smoke and stuff. i also sorta remember my brother trying to teach me how to land an ollie and somehow after years and years with no practice just simply that memory i surprisingly landed my fist ollie by accident couple days ago. so here we are i’m becoming a skater now

You guys rock. Thanks for making skateboarding so accessible. I’ve been trying to kick flip since 2007 and I haven’t seen dances with wolves, so I’ll leave a comment after I’ve done so.

How do I keep the board under my feet I flick it and it will land 3 feet in front of me

Dude I couldn't kick flip for years (I always found heel flips way easier).
I've been trying to kick it down this entire time, just as you mentioned.

I landed my first kickflip yesterday.

I’ve never kickflipped before but I will reply to this comment when I land my first one

Whenever I try and flick it I can’t. I’ve practiced the motion many times but when I get to it, it won’t flick.

Another problem I have is I try and flick straight off the board. Whenever I try and angle myself to flick off the left side of the nose I can’t. My body won’t let me angle my body to flick off the edge.

Any help or tips would be great!

I've landed just a bunch of sketchy ones, often real close. Gonna watch three more hours of SLS Tokyo 2023 now, while doing the flickflick (I'm a shoe collector so I can lose one or two pairs) and I'll go out to my night spot and hoooopefully... land it.

What got me on kickflip is that you sort of have to jump a bit to the side with your backfoot too in order to catch the board. you can see it on the vid where some of the flips land next to the starting position. i started landing after i learned that.

I have been skating for over a year and have been trying kick flips for quite some time now and am getting absolutely no where and I have tried everything the kickflips look perfect but my front can’t land it hits the ground before my board does I can’t make it stay

I got the flip down for sure, but it’s perfected flicking off the opposite side of the board. Almost like I’m doing a heel flip but instead of kicking with my heal it’s flicking off. My brain will not let me flick off the right side( I ride regular btw)

I can Ollie VERY high and I can mostly do a fs 180, my shuv it’s are also very consistent and I sometimes Land nice pop shuv it’s. My problem with the kickflip is that I either can’t rotate the board enough, or I kick out and the board goes miles ahead of me. I will try all the things in the video but request some help :)
