- I'm currently studying all by myself and I knew infos regarding on proper way of singing.

Average Tier Singers:

HIGH A:

Ningning - She's a High Average singer. Why? She haven't reached her potential to become an above average singer since her heady mix isn't that bold as other vocalists. She can support Eb5 (flat) and C#5 (sharp) just like Lily and Haewon but Ningning's ver most likely sounds heady.

MID A:

Winter - Good vocal tone but too much nasal. I know her nasal tone really helped her a lot to have a pleasant voice while singing in her comfort range, but as we all know, SME really loves to put high note adlibs on their songs and winter kinda sounds strain when she try to hit a high note like C5.

LOW A:

Giselle - Giselle is an example of low average singers like Jeongyeon from TWICE and Sullyoon and Kyujin from NMIXX. Giselle is a good vocalist and only sings in her comfort range. She's really a good singer but we haven't seen her reaching high notes like winter and ningning.

WEAK AVERAGE TIER SINGER(S)

HIGH W-A vocalist

Karina: Karina is surprisingly a good vocalist too 😅 she has good and raw vocal tone that sounds so rich when she sings. She also has good amount of vibratos but not that much since she always have rap parts in their songs.

UNDERDEVELOPED VOCALISTS
(A singer who can support but not consistent)

HIGH Underdeveloped Vocalist

Lia - Lia's tier can actually be interchangeable but I prefer to put her here in order to clearly explain her singing skills. Lia is a good vocalist and we cannot deny that since she's a main vocalist of itzy for a reason. However, when she sings, she always have an issue on how she can project her voice due to the fact that ITZY's songs are somehow kinda high and tiring to sing. Lia is actually and incredible singer but only if she sings with her comfort range. Lia can actually be MID weak vocalist only if JYPE choose to give her a lines that would suit her supporting vocal range. For example: HANNI from new jeans. Hanni from New Jeans is Mid Weak-A Tier vocalist due to the fact that she only sings in her comfort range and doesn't strain too much because new jeans song aren't even that high.

LOW TO MID underdeveloped singer:

Yeji - Yeji has a good stable vocal and has a lot of stamina. However, the only problem she has is her inconsistency for supporting her voice. She can actually show that she can sing live and belt high notes but she strains a lot and a lot which can affect her vocal cords.

UNDEVELOPED VOCALIST

- Chaeryoung, Yuna and Ryujin
- They're somehow good vocalist too! No hate 😅 but 3 of still need to engage in their diaphragm while singing. Not gonna lie but chaeryoung also can sing like yeji but chaeryoung still needs to find a stronger foundation while singing in order for her to increase her vocal tier.

Winter is really good at singing My queen . I always support you. The most beautiful and cutest girl ever🥰And yeji is ace of aces. there is nothing she cant do. Also i like yuna's sweet candylike voice.I think her voice is underrated

all the members of aespa is wayyy better than all itzy members. the correct ranking will be 1.ning ning 2.winter 3.karina 4.giselle 5.lia 6.yeji7.charyeong 8.yuna 9.ryujin. Vocals are all about techiques and supporting your notes and not stable vocals or angelic voices. All itzy members can't support except for Lia wich makes Yeji a F+ vocalist,charyeong a F+ vocalist,Yuna a F+ vocalist and Ryujin a F- vocalist. Lia is consistant in supporting until bb3 which makes her a E+ vocalist. On the other hand, all the members in aespa can support and has a wider range than all itzy members. Giselle can support up to bb4 which makes her a mid D+ vocalist, Karina can support up to b4 which makes her a high D+ low C- vocalist, Winter can support up to C5 which makes her a high C vocalist and Ning Ning can support up to Eb5 which makes her a high C+ low B- vocalist

imo Yeji isn’t rlly suited for main vocal in itzy, she’s a slightly higher vocalist than the sub vocal line of itzy but yeah, I also would swap yeji and Giselle’s spots

Random things I wanna mention:
after hearing Lia’s predebut singing, I realize jyp definitely hasn’t been using her voice right, I believe her technique is really good and her runs are immaculate omg. Her voice is really deep so giving her parts that aren’t in her range makes people believe she isn’t as good of a singer than she actually is.

I might be wrong, but I feel that Chaeryeong mouth shape and annunciation when she sings is directly affecting her vocals. It’s like she’s trying to make a cute baby voice while singing. I kinda wish she would sing without all of that.

Actually, as a vocal coach and a member of the choir for 10 years, I've determined who are the best and the worst ones.

First of all, Karina is s better singrr than Giselle. Karina produces more techniques than Giselle does but that doesn't mean Gigi is a bad singer. Considering she's a choir member, she's good but Karina is just something-- Karina balances her vocals well than Giselle does

Second, Giselle is a better singer than Lia. Watching and comparing the two, Giselle has obviously more techniques than Lia does. Lia can't support her vocals, but i like it when her singing emphasises the loudness. But Giselle is just better, don't get me started on how Gigi knows and can do head voice, vibrato, unexpected controlled falsettos, riffs and runs-- which Lia doesn't even know much. Lia is just bursting her vocals not knowing where her chords would go.

I can't fit in much comments but all I can say is
Karina is definitely better than Yeji and Lia
Giselle is better than Lia but not Yeji
Ryujin and Yuna are the same; both of them aren't good at singing

Anyways, here's my ranking
