You can use Home Assistant to control a Lutron Pico remote to do whatever you want. I have a pico that turns on and off my Govee exterior lights, another pico for turning on and off lamps and I use HA to connect them to Lutron scenes as well. I also have a Pico that turns on and off my fireplace with bond. The Picos are really handy if you use HA.
ОтветитьSpouse approval
No because of the name
Why does no one talk about Leviton?
ОтветитьI just installed one of these and will be installing several others. This switch is so much better than the old switch, that complaining about “squishiness” is like complaining that your portion of caviar is just a bit too small. Give me a break!
ОтветитьRidiculous price, Would never Spend that kinda money for a Dimmer Switch. Insane money and not worth it. Thanks for the review.
ОтветитьWhat’s the model# and name of this switch ?
ОтветитьIncredible I like it so much 👍🏻
Ответитьgreat video thanks
ОтветитьDoes this support z wave?
ОтветитьThe fact that it doesnt work with smart bulbs, makes it a dud. For 70 bucks, wtf lutron. Switches half the price can do that.
ОтветитьI just don't get it. It feels so cheap. They're non-smart Diva line has the typical clicky tactile feedback that we expect. This just feels cheap.
Ответить$70...
ОтветитьThis is the best smart dimmer on the market by far.
ОтветитьDo you know of a “smart” MLV dimmer ? Looking for one for my under-cabinet lights in new kitchen. Thanks. Love your content
ОтветитьWould these switches work with a standard Zigbee dongle for use in Home Assistant?
ОтветитьWould you recommend Lutron switches with clear connect over a Z wave switch that might be cheaper and probably has a longer range since Z wave devices can work like a mesh network?
ОтветитьWould you know if the Lutron Caseta Diva dimmer switch is able to directly connect to the Lutron Caseta lamp plugs? I have a room that I want to install the switch and have the switch turn on 4 lamp plugs. If not could I program the Lutron Hub to turn on the lamps and would it be instant or a delay as I currently have with Zwave which is why I am looking to upgrade.
ОтветитьSo do I need only one switch to control a threeway set up or do I need three of these one for each switch in a three way set up
ОтветитьCurrently slowly upgrading all our switches to Caseta switches. So far, the switches that are currently smart switches have been awesome and work flawlessly with Alexa and Homekit for me. Definitely worth it for me.
ОтветитьI love your outros!
ОтветитьI always laugh at the 'suishy' button comments when it comes to these smart switched. Since I've installed mine a year ago, I use the voice command over 95% of the time when turning these lights on and off or dimming to whatever percentage I want. I don't even notice the lack of loud 'click' when I do press the switch the other 5% of the time, so to me, it really is a non-ssue. Can't wait to try these out!
ОтветитьI'm in the process of swapping out my dumb switches for these. So far have two installed and they are amazing. I think they're worth the money with the value you add to your home.
ОтветитьLiked the video but would have left without clicking the like button...........the dad joke about the name of the switch being Diva got me to come back. Very funny and cute bit. :-)
ОтветитьAwesome review! Thought I was listening to Nick Swardson for a sec lol.
ОтветитьI personally prefer the squishy buttons because they are quiet. My kids somehow make the switches that click way too loud.
ОтветитьHello, What wallplate are you using to fit both lutron and leviton switches. I cannot for the life of me get the wallplate to line up when i mixed those two switches. thank you.
Ответить$70 a switch is crazy!
ОтветитьI have no experience with either of them, except at work where I've clicked one or two of them and agree they're squishy. but fixing the dimming setting issue is absolutely worth it to me, even if the new ones are squishier than the old
ОтветитьI love my Lutron Caseta switches but I’m at the point where I’m giving up on pairing them with LED bulbs. I know all about the compatibility app. I’ve spent hours combing over the results. I’ve tried several brands that people have confirmed are the “best.” From my experience, none of them are perfect. Some bulbs work most of the time but flicker on occasion. It got to the point that I thought my newer home was incorrectly wired but it’s not. Pop in some incandescents, flawless victory. Shame really, I want to use the more responsible, longer lasting LEDs… but the performance is just meh.
ОтветитьSticking with kasa
ОтветитьI installed all Lutron Maestro Switches back in 2016 and they worked perfectly with 0 issues. My house does also have a lighting panel which controlls certain main areas with keypads, but I think I will be replacing all the Maestro dimmers with the new Sunnata dimmers as they do look much nicer.
ОтветитьGreat video! I've had problems with the OG Caseta dimmers causing most LED bulbs to flicker or not turn on unless at over 50% brightness. This includes bulbs Lutron says are compatible with the dimmer and work with non-smart Lutron dimmers. I see the Diva dimmer has "LED+". Will that improve LED bulb compatibility?
ОтветитьAny updates on how Lutron will implement Matter? Will will still have to use a bridge?
ОтветитьGreat review, overpriced product. $15 or less or most people won’t buy.
ОтветитьI have a question for a what would be a good smart wall switch. Project for my kitchen, track lighting with RGB smart bulbs (I can't find any track heads with RGB function) so I found the bulbs. Looking at a few 3 & 4 light track light units. Anyway, I want to be able to turn on/off (maybe dim as well) from the wall switch, but still be able to turn on/off and color change from a smart phone app, Google Home/Alexa. A standard wall switch will kill power to the track lights and I won't be able to turn the lights on without turning on the wall switch... Advice?
Nothing has been purchased yet.
For the track lights, I found there on Amazon: Avatar Controls 4 Pack Smart Bulb GU10, Alexa LED Light Bulbs Music Sync RGBCW Color Changing Dimmable WiFi Spot Lights Works with Google Home, Quick Connection
Whats a best switch that can control both light and a fan with dimmer and speed control in one switch like treatlife, but the treatlife one goes crazy sometimes !! It flashes light when told to turn fan on !!
Ответитьtoo expensive. Does it work in Home Assistant?
ОтветитьMy home is older and I don’t believe it has a neutral.
And if I wanted to just have one smart light switch platform in my whole house would you recommend this Lutron system or some other system completely ?
So just a quick question though if you wanted to put a three way switch in where there isn’t already a wired three switch you would still have to use a pico though correct? And they have not updated that correct?
ОтветитьHard to find stock of these - esp in Light Almond color. Also they should not have re-used the "Diva" name for these switches - so easy to confuse a "Diva Dimmer" posting which is a different switch that is not smart.
ОтветитьReed. So just wanted to let you know. You can set a scene via lutron app and you can set the lighting % to let say 1% ( so I have as ‘Good morning’ ) when you press the arrow up on your caseta it will activate the scene. And if you press regular ON it will go to the maximum brightness. I hope this helps.
ОтветитьDimmer switches can cause high EMF in your house.
ОтветитьI am changing from all the Kasa and zooz ones to Lutron, the fact that it is easily compatible with smart things and home kit
Ответить2 points: The first is that the physical 3way is important as some local codes DONT ALLOW (pico) non wired remotes (won't pass inspection/ 3 pole most be hard wired) The second is that they need to come out with ELV and MLV ASAP. hate having to spec different styles of dimmers in complex lighting situations
ОтветитьI recently started fallowing you, my biggest question is what brand or model light bulbs you use with Lutron caseta.
ОтветитьI did not buy Lutron no neutral dimmer switch because at the time it was not able to remember the last setting. I bought Leviton because it worked correctly and also has matching no neutral on/off option, not just dimmer. The brands look similar but the Leviton is also more affordable. If Lutron had this out earlier I would have bought it then realized they did not have a simple smart on/off no neutral offering to match it. I had Lutron non smart switches in my house and switched to Leviton smart devices for this reason. I loved my old Lutron dumb switches but I am also happy with my new Leviton's.
ОтветитьWaiting for it to come in black now.
ОтветитьThat price is crazy! That is the only thing that will hold me back. Wow… $70
