I was looking for an easy solution for a cheap, yet powerful home server, and I think I will be using one of these boards with a Xeon and ECC memory so that I can begin building my Windows Server. Run Jellyfin, and do all kinds of home server things. My only concern is that the SATA ports on board don't support RAID? This won't be too much of an issue because I wanted to get a SAS HBA anyway, and control the RAID with an ASIC.

I don't succed to use 8 sticks of 16Gb memory. 6 sticks are ok but 8 return error code 67 ! Have you succed using 8 sticks of RAM ?

Just wondering is the fan controller working or will the software you have patch that? I got a X99G-M v1 and unlocked it but no way to get the fans controlled so was thinking of moving everything over to this.

Hello Miyconst, could you help me? I recently bought the Huananzhi X99-F8 board (latest version) and I'm having trouble using any linux based system with regard to shutting down or restarting the pc. I'm doing tests with Proxmox, TrueNas Scale, Fedora Server 37, Debian and ALWAYS when I request to turn off or restart the equipment, the shutdown or restart starts and it crashes, being forced to turn it off using the power button. I performed tests with Windows 11 pro and it worked correctly shutting down and restarting the pc every time. The Bios is original from the factory, Version: 1.0 of Date: 2022-6-6 - Processor: Intel Xeon E5-2696-V3 - Memory: Samsung DDR4-2133 ECC - 4x16GB - Nvme 256GB Can you give me a light, I'm about to buy another motherboard without the Chinese ones. Unfortunately, I watched too late this vídeo. I bought the F8 with an i7 6800k, and had the same issue with overclocking. I was hoping that the mobo would hang the processor overclocking, but it just crashes.

But, fortunately, the 4.0Ghz, for me, was what I was looking for.

Your reviews are probably great. But his motherboard sucks. Horrible motherboard not only does not have half of the features of the original boards it was copied from but it is also incredibly unstable. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this junk.

so bummed... Just discovered the HUANANZHI X99 T8 which is 8 slots of DDR3 RAM.... I had only ever seen the HUANANZHI X99 F8 which is DDR4 and then never looked into it again. the F8 and T8 look identical when scrolling through aliexpress. because I didn't know, I went and got a Jingsha x99 that supports DDR3. If I only I had known! The difference between the Jingsha and the T8 is only NZ$20... arrrrggggg...

I bought this board, and have a 2670 V3 installed, but Windows 10 only sees 4 of the 8 RAM slots. I took the CPU out to see if I had bent any pins, but none are bent at all. Any ideas why Windows only sees half the RAM slots? The 4 that work are slots 2 and 4 on each side, with 1 being the closest to the socket. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought this motherboard, I have not had a single performance problem with my xeon e5 2673, I did the hackturbo and everything is fine.
but I have a problem with the subject of the webcam or video capture, the image does not show well, it has as image loss or rare freezes such as the video being corrupted, someone has had that problem or they know how to solve it or why that happens.
I already proved several webcams and capturers in all of them the same problem happens.

If someone is still watching: Will this board run regular decktop memory? Or is it ECC only? In the AliExpress ad it states: 'Memory type supported: non-ecc/reg ecc/ecc' but I'm not sure what its telling me. I have some older(2015) G.Skill 8X8 Ripjaw 4 sticks (F4-2133C15Q2-64GRB) 1.20v @ CL15-15-15-35 (will they work in the Huananzhi X99-F8?)

I bought this board thanks to this review, with a Xeon E5-2680v4 + 64GB RAM. Also used a Huananzhi A700 cooler. Pleasantly surprised, the setup with windows 2016 server was painless. It's mean't to go to my home server, but is running test as a desktop workstation now. This is why I wanted the v4, lower powerdraw with 14nm. With a gigabyte 256GB NVME SSD, the system feels very responsive in all applications. In benchmarks though, it's showing it's age somewhat. CPU-Z single core is 374 vs 360 in my old i7-2600, probably due to the low core clocks. Multicore 6500 vs 1700 that is a huge difference. Cinebench R23 returns 12.100 while the i7 does 3100. (to put this in perspective, my 5950X workstation running PBO does 30.000 in R23) Can't fault it for the price, the total setup cost me about 600 euro without GPU while my 5950X is a 3000 euro system. And 64GB makes it somewhat expensive for a desktop system 32GB is plenty. For me the main use case is having 40 PCI-E lanes so we can use NVME storage via a 4x SSD PCI-E card, a 10GBit NIC and then there is still 1 16x slot left for future storage. The board supports bifurcation as well so for this setup it's perfect. Just have to take idle power measurement's compared to my old i7 server.

I have bought 8x16 gb ram to set up 128gb and e5 2678 v3 on this motherboard. I have bought 8 sticks ram gloway 2666 ddr4 6 micron and 2 Samsung(unfortaly they are diferent chip). My huananzhi f8 can not start and show code 60 and 67. I ve already test all sticks and all passed, but i can not use all. What i do wrong ? Would you help me ? I bought my X99-F8 motherboard with 64GB RAM and CPU 2680 V3. I have been testing it and just noticed that it says that there is 32GB on board. I did many tests and found that memory slots A1, A2, B1, B2 don't work. Only memory slots C1, C2, D1 & D2 work. So if I use A1, B1, C1 & D1 Windows and the BIOS sees 32GB. If I use C1, C2, D1 and D2 slots for all 4 memory modules Windows and the BIOS sees 64GB. Are they, memory slots A1, A2, B1, B2, dead? I contacted Huananzhi support and they told me to 'shift' the CPU but that didn't help. Then they told me it may be BIOS or motherboard and to re-flash the BIOS. I found that many flash programs don't work on this motherboard. After a day of testing I notice that the BIOS does not have a flash option but those programs that say do a boot USB memory stick don't work with 64 bit system. How can I re-flash the BIOS? I got the copy of the BIOS from your website. I hope you can help me.

Is it possible to somehow activate in the original, from the manufacturer's website of this motherboard, the latest BIOS version, the adjustment of RAM timings?

I'm wondering if you think 8x 8GB will work. I currently have 32GB in 4x 8GB, and want to buy another 4x 8GB. Or should I just buy 2x 16GB? I just got my F8 today, and will replace my machinist board with it tomorrow.
