Dave I notice u won't do a direct test between the iphone5 and s3 or optimus g, is that because it will kick the iPhones ass and upset all your fellow isheep?

No it is because my S3 loan model is no longer here.

The new iPhone looks very nice. (This is coming from am Android user, I want to give a serious opinion.) However, what was Apple thinking... "Let's make the screen bigger and add a new slot." You would think that they would have added something to fill up the screen, maybe a search bar.

Dave, you're acting like a 4" screen on an iPhone is the best new thing ever. Like a 4" has never been seen before. To us Android users, meh, 4 inch-ers are everywhere. Nothing worth getting over-excited about. :P

If your ignorant ass hasn't noticed, the iPhone 5 is kicking the S3's ass in every single benchmark so far.

Played around with it at best buy today and surprise surprise, it's not much. It's lighter and more elegant, but honestly nothing special whatsoever. One extra set of icons? Really? Missed opportunity to do something more practical. Apple is playing very safe here and might be the next blackberry a couple years from now if they continue their policies. Putting an app like passbook and no nfc is crazy, and I was always thinking it lacked any width. Still, my s3 is jealous of the quality here.

Am waiting to buy until I have seen your full review :)

I can't understand why Apple didn't make the Iphone a smidgen wider as well as longer. The size of the Samsung Galaxy SII is ideal for those petrified of size.
