Killing A Bloater in One Shot in The Last of Us

Does this work if your playing the ps4 version of the last of us reamastered on ps5

Imagine living long enough to become a bloater which takes a good decade or more just to get no scoped in the toe by a 14 year old i would be pissed

The biggest downgrade in the remake for me is bloaters not having glowing ooze on them

I did it with an arrow on the PS5 with a PS4 disc. it hadn’t jumped down yet, i was shocked.

I kill bloaters with with two nail bombs,two Molys,and two rifle shots,and maybe a couple pistol shots to finish it off

I literally thought the bloater was really easy to kill but yea I just shot his leg off

First time playing I tried it, hit its leg but I accidentally used the pistol.

Second time playing, tried again, but missed with the rifle.

Third time’s a charm :)

When did this happen? I just beat The Last of Us, and i don't recall a bloater fight with ellie.

I legit just played that scene for the first time earlier today and accidentally one shot it

pulled this off on my grounded playthrough and i never felt more accomplished

In the last of us part 1 I killed the bloater with one shot with the rifle. Test it it works

No wonder why i couldn't kill him fast enough

They should have kept this it makes sense. You shoot it in the leg it stumbles, it falls, it dies

Actually you can kill it when its still on the roof i killed it the second before it started to fall i hit him in the body

Also in the original version of the last of us you don’t have to kill the doctor at the end. I remember just giving him a good punch that should’ve just knocked him out. There wasn’t the animation of Joel stabbing him like in the remake. I prefer this outcome because Joel already kills Marlene in the end and the fireflies have a chance of regrouping a bit better with the doctor and Abby’s friends. And these characters could’ve been more fleshed out showing they could be as strong as Joel and Ellie and we would want to root for them a bit more knowing they didn’t kill any beloved characters . So technically in some cases the last of us part 2 shouldn’t exist but it does do to flexible story events.

I have the ps4 version and i killed him in te one shot. (btw i have ps5)

The perfect loop doesn't exist-

I did by mistake and was like: “huh. That was easy…” and then I was almost raped/eaten classic last of us moment

It take 7 shots for me

In the remastered ver i shot it in the neck and insta killed it i think there is a small opening between the head armor and the body armor

You can one shot on ps5

Damn I played that game a lot and died in that mission from that bloater 20 times before I was able to kill it

Still have PS4 and still play on it

meh doesn’t matter the original is still better than both part 2 and part 1

Yeah when you play as ellie and you lr with David a bloater jumps down from this thing and before it jumps onto the ground if you shoot it on the leg it dies instantly

I killed it in one shot but now I know why

Thankfully i have the ps4 version so i did this to not die
