I have the identical glass cake stand. It was my grandmother's.

A trick I learned about buttering & flouring a cake pan for chocolate cake is to use coco powder instead of flour. That way you don't get those white chunks on the corners and sides of your cake- which can get into your frosting, too.

The chocolate itself looked so good! I wonder what kind it was. Delicious!

Seems odd seeing Julia using a hand mixer instead of her KitchenAid.

Can't help but wonder why her left chest patch is so low? Should be up a couple inches higher. Love her and she brings back wonderful memories.

I FINALLY found the episode that the clip from 'Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead' was in!! Funny that her dialogue was clipped and the later footage of her icing the cake was put over it:):) But Wikipedia said this is from season 6 and this says season 8...don't confuse me so when I search for it;)
