@GeologiaES Science is not based on fact, it is mainly based in theory and things that we assume, we might think one thing as fact but soon we can learn something else, the fact you mention a dog has four legs obviously shows that science isnt based on fact when it comes to the earth and universe, just things you see and already know, science is constantly changing... remember that many people thought earth was flat and that it was a fact... :L

@GeologiaES I have a different theory. We were born from the Sun. After one of it's tremendous eruptions, a portion broke free from it's gravitational pull and drifted into space. This explains why the planets are perfectly round in shape! Like a droplet. As it drifted away it cooled. Crust Started to form as well as mass condensation trapped in a gaseous atmosphere. Which over millions of years created our oceans. I believe the birth of our planet burnt out life on Mars

@bluegrass232 ignorance is bliss isn't it... just because people say that rocks collided and made a planet doesn't mean were saying god doesn't exist..god created the earth and heavens didn't he? I think he was up there smashin' rocks together and that is how he formed our universe...keep and open mine religion and science don't have to be separated, everything is related when you look at a bigger story, different religions to science and even themselves

@bluegrass232 Bloody hell, you are an idiot. OK, give me proof that this "God" of yours made this planet. There are lots of reliable studies which support the theory above. Such as Astronamy and Volcanology. And you may of been in church since you were three years old. (I can tell because it looks like it's successfully brainwashed you.) But just face the facts pal. You've lost the argumant. There is just to much evidence on our side and not enough on yours.

@mattsgp i don't know if anyone gave you an answer regarding Pangea but "we" know about Pangea because of several different reasons 1) the continents line-up like a puzzle, 2) same fossil species found in same strata level on different shorelines 3)Atlantic is getting bigger 4)etc. All the proof is found beneath our feet in the earth, rocks, natural phenomena, tectonic movement and like I said before if your interested I really recommend a historical geology course

the reason for life as we know it and is explained by science is the position of Earth in our solar system, randomness, and mutations... if you guys have open minds i suggest you take a historical geology class it'll answer some of the questions i've seen here and prove or disprove arguments...in regards to the creation of water look @ water cycle and you might understand how volcanic activity billions of years ago was responsible for the creation of what we now know as water

Millions or years ago, giant meteors called planetoids that had water inside of them and them were the size of our smallest planet crashed into earth.The water escaped on impact.when the water came out, it turned into steam since the planet was still very hot. The steam turned into large monstrous clouds that blocked out the sun's heat. Since there was no heat, the earth cooled down. When the earth was cool enough, the clouds released large amounts of water.

@12thedoo check my channel, i have som alternate thinking. This is such bullshit, how can life come out of fire. How did we go from fire to water? Doesnt make sense to me, and science still hasn't explained it in my opinion. Yeah it sounds good with all the cameras and smoke, but take that away your left with logic. It doesn't add up. Fire, water. How did we come from fire? Last time I checked nothing grew out of my ash tray when wet or did i see any bacteria. So how can we demonstrate? We cant.

@muntu1221 It didn't happen all of a sudden, the earth formed from leftover materials that formed the sun. But it was a slow process, our earth grew from a pebble sized object to almost it's present size in about 30 million years.

Wow at some of these comments! - Some people need to revisit some high school chemistry and physics classes! 'God' this, 'god' that! - You people can't possibly think like that! - If we can logically explain 99% of the earths creation through solid scientific principles, it's a reasonable assumption that the other 1% unexplained CAN and WILL be explained in the future! - I'm not religious or a non-believer! I just follow the statistical evidence, you should too!

@hynes1628 no I think thats actually wrong, what happened (not totally sure) is that gas from volcanoes and from inside the earth went into the sky but when the earth cooled the gases condensed and some of the gases formed water which created the oceans.

@GeologiaES. The air was not created for us to breath it. We were born to breath this precise Air. if the air was different so would we be... and Earth is still being built piece by piece. With every asteroid and even every particle of dust that falls from the sky Earth is getting bigger. the difference between then and now is that there are less asteroids than then and that Earth is now so big that we fail to perceive its growth.
