What do you think about the Apple Watch Ultra? Best smart watch ever? Should I try a different Garmin?
ОтветитьGarmin is Android? 😂😂😂 they have their own OS .
ОтветитьI’ve gone back and forth so many times.. prefer Garmin. We bike, hike, ski, run, walk, golf, etc. and Garmin rocks them all. I can spend a week in Utah skiing, using watch all day and not have to charge my watch on the trip. Golf courses built in. I’ve stopped even looking when dinging my Fenix 6X on a door or something as I know it’s fine. It’s the best piece of tech I own.
ОтветитьI have the Garmin 7X Pro and it works fantastically well with my iPhone. I get all notifications and such that I expect from a smartwatch. The battery life of nearly a MONTH is the clincher for me. I am also a former Apple watch user
ОтветитьBought the Apple Watch had to charge every day…. Came from a Garmin that would last over a week… returned the Apple Watch and bought the Venu 3 with a 14 day battery life
Ответитьfenix 7pro is touchscreen watch, also not android.
ОтветитьApple, please engineer the watch serious 9 battery life to last 3 full days so I can charge it every other day. I don’t want the ginormous ultra on my wrist. Please
ОтветитьI was trying to understand what “besins” were lol😅 just kidding, I love the accent. Great video 👍
ОтветитьWhat about battery life differences: AW - 1-2 days, Fenix - over 20 days…
ОтветитьThis was helpful, thank you!! I’ve actually been a Garmin watch girl for over 6 years (I have 3 of them and love them, they all still work) and have never had an Apple Watch. Last year I got an iPhone though and now I’m debating between the Garmin Epix 2, the Forerunner 965 or the AW series 8 or 9. I’m not an extreme sports person (mostly weights, rowing, running, hiking, Pilates, etc.) so I don’t really need all the sports tracking features the $1000 Garmin Epix has, but I do love so the health metrics I’ve been tracking. I feel like more of a smart watch might be helpful in my day to day, but I’m afraid I’ll miss the Garmin interface and app and of course the battery life!
People think it’s just lazyness but it’s nice to not have to worry about bringing a charger for your watch when you go camping, vacations, weekend trips, etc.
@PeteMatheson please compare Garmin Fenix 7 Apple watch ultra and Huawei Watch Ultimate
ОтветитьFunny how some of the downsides you mention are plus's for me. I dont want to be connected 24/7. In fact ive disabled most notifications on my watch.
Also garmins are not Android. Garmin has its own OS which is part of the reason they can leverage much much better battery life. Its much more optimised.
Love the Garmin, I've watched a lot of vids and reviews about the rugged smart watches and I'm beginning to believe there is no such thing as a rugged watch in the normal wage range as apposed to those that can afford the high ends. 🤠
ОтветитьThere's a few things wrong with this video. You're talking about the lack of features, that are actually available if you use your Garmin with an android phone, which you don't get off you have an iPhail.
Also, you show the treadmill syncing options to Apple and Samsung. And claim Garmin lacks this. Garmin actually syncs with more equipment, and does a better job at it, using ANT+.
You also mentioned a lot of NON issues for Garmin. It kind of seems like this was a biased review
Garmin has their own operating system and it’s compatible with both android and ios
ОтветитьYou do know that the fenix 7x does have a touch screen lol
ОтветитьI’ve owned 3 Apple Watches, killed them all, and switched to Garmin about 4/5 years ago. Don’t plan on going back. I’m more athletic than I am smart phone so I need a rough and rugged watch that can get slammed around and won’t die on me. I’ve owned two Fenix’s and now an Epix 2 pro. The Epix answers gives us the nice screen and yet still full athletic programming that we expect from Garmin. I don’t need to make calls from my phone or type texts so there really isn’t any reason to buy a product that I’m probably going to break.
ОтветитьThe whole review is pretty much rooting for the AW. If you want the best wrist watch with fitness capabilities then get the Garmin. If you actively want to convey that you are "NOT POOR" and talk about 99% of features that you won't use and also want to have to charge your watch EVERY DAY, then get the AW. Anything Apple makes for PRO users is not in any way pro. It's for people who are definitely NOT PRO, but want to spend PRO money to think they are PRO. 🤣
I've been a Garmin 245 Music user for the past 3-4 years. The music is just connecting to the computer and dragging and dropping files. Spotify comes installed! You just have to do the basic set up when you first open an app LIKE ANY OTHER SIGN IN on a new device. It also has an accident contact emergency protocol. All the set up you have to do for the Garmin app you do it to your own preferences and then you forget it. Finally, how is there a need for having most phone features on a watch you wear most of the time with a phone, when you go out to swim, run, work out in general and won't be needing phone features?!?!?!
It's nice to see in the comments most people agree that the FENIX is a better product.
And just so people in the back can hear this: YOU HAVE TO CHARGE IT EVERY DAAAAAAAY!!! 🤣🤣🤣
If you have an iphone get the apple watch. If you run an android get the garmin basically
ОтветитьI am not into Aplle :-( so an Apple watch is not for me. Without iphone it makes no sense to use an apple watch I think
ОтветитьMilitary but just higher tier unit like infantry scouts or just special operator use garmin watches
ОтветитьApple Watch best choice
ОтветитьIf you want a bright screen smartwatch and do not live an active lifestyle then go for something cheap in 300 dollar range. If you want a beast of a sport/outdoor/military and in general pretty much a normal watch that will be attached to your wrist all day long and become part of your daily life then. That will perform in harsh situations, take an impact, have longevity, immense battery life and save your life when you are lost and you dont have a phone on you then Garmin is your best option. Either of Epix, Fenix and Tactix goes.
I just dont see a point of having apple watch ultra for that price. Its just a smartwatch being marketed under a pretense of being a Garmin competitor when it clearly isnt even close when it comes to activity. Garmin also has always on screen and can keep battery. Apple 2 days of battery. Nah thanks. I own epix 2 and not having to charge every day or is more practical than i thought it would. Planning to get tactix now.
I have just got the Fenix 7 solar sapphire and love it (am wondering if I should have gotten the X for the flashlight though), however, it’s such a step up from my previous vivoactive and I don’t want basically a small version of an iPhone on my wrist. I also way prefer the look of it and that battery life - so happy with it.
ОтветитьGarmin Connect was literally the first one to show up in the list wasn’t it?
ОтветитьDo you need to change your phone because of the watch?
ОтветитьI think you might want to recheck the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic or Watch 5 Pro after it upgrades to same version as the Watch 6 Classic next month. Then you can use Samsung Health and the new Sleep Tracking functions. I am looking forward to see the updates to my Watch 5 Pro. By the way it is still a current watch with Samsung...
ОтветитьShame that Garmin is fugly 😢
ОтветитьPersonally I'm using a Galaxy Watch 6 during the day and Garmin Fenix during workouts/sport activities
ОтветитьTry the Venu 2 Plus!
ОтветитьBattery life is the Achilles heal of the AW. Can't use it overnight as a sleep tracker if it is on charge... it is also super bulky.
ОтветитьI didn’t watched the video. W for Garmin 😊
ОтветитьNot many know ? More like few don't know about garmin.
ОтветитьDoes the garmin have a depth meter for diving?
ОтветитьTraded my Ultra for the Fenix 7x and haven't looked back.
ОтветитьYou dont have to an Android phone for a Garmin watch. iOS has the same apps and works fine with Garmin.
ОтветитьWith my 10 year anniversary at work coming up in a few months, i get a FREE watch from my company, up to $1800 proce range, so im shopping around. Until today, i didnt even know about these other types of fitness watches, i was dead set on getting the Galaxy watch 6 classic. But that's only $650 and id like to get money's worth out of a free watch lol. Thanks for this video, it's really opened up my eyes to other choices and features that watches can have these days!
ОтветитьAre we pretending that Huawei watches don't exist?? They destroy both Apple and Garmin for features.
ОтветитьLots of people have Apple watch? I work in London for the biggest printing company in the world, 1670 employees, have my word, I have only seen 2 Apple watches, and like 300 Samsung and Huawei, on my colleagues wrists. This says a lot
ОтветитьTo the person who made this video, you want a convenience and social media watch therefore the Apple is your choice. Garmin is a fitness watch which Apple doesn’t even compare to a Garmin.
ОтветитьApple only has a 14 day return window. You'd have to keep it either way 😂
ОтветитьThey are made for different objectives and they aren't comparable. Garmin Fenix 7x is one of the best sports watches in the market, being the COROS watches the most similar rival. For people that do a lot of sports, like cycling (road/MTB), running or trail running, and skiing, .... no one ever thinks of an Apple Watch as an alternative.
ОтветитьThe Garmins solar ability and battery life ability makes it much more reliable if you actually go hunting or do things in the woods.. or just are lazy and dont want to take off your watch all the time to charge it. Both are really nice options. I think Garmin over the next few years will be a force in smart/fitness watches.
Ответитьjust one information, you can customize your watch faces on garmin connect. However, the interface is not so friendly compared to apple watch.
ОтветитьWhat’s never reported on these comparison videos, is that if you were on a week long hike with an Ultra, you just take a charging cable and a battery or just a battery that’s made for charging it.
Ответитьso funny watching athletes reviews compared to a tech guy. as all ive seen is the garmin is a better sport watch but straight off the bat youre saying does the garmin compete with the apple, when its the other way around lol. especially the ultra specific model.
ОтветитьFenix looks like something from a Happy Meal 🤡
ОтветитьI'm just frustrated with the charging every two days. I've had various Seiko watches They look like something that will last 14 to 21 days. I've lived without a smartwatch all my life I can do without it. I have my smartphone for that.
ОтветитьAs that as bright as that screen can get? Really interested in a fénix, but have some reservations about that
Ответить
