You didn't put a strap on it and keytar it.
Ответитьstill got mine
ОтветитьWe had one of these in the school music room cupboard I was so tempted to fit in my bag and take it home, I kind of wish I did now 😂
ОтветитьHi, can you octave transpose on a DX100? 🙏🙏🙏
ОтветитьBiggest waste of money I ever wasted. I didn't read the reviews, I ended up with an expensive Sega Megadrive sounding raspy pile of crap. Gave it away.
ОтветитьThanks in part to you, AP, I now know that I once had the best of this world at my fingertips (and let it slip through my fingers), a Yamaha FB01 module. I had it long enough to use it as a bass synthesizer for one of my solo tracks, “The Grand Deception”. The guy who I gave it to has offered it back, and I should really try making that happen.
I could easily imagine you could program that FB 01 preset bass sound to match the parameters of the one in the 100, even if it’s painstaking.
Khotin uses one in his live sets and it sounds class, he's doing something orginal though so I guess it's about context
ОтветитьThe dx100 can create some really beautiful pads
ОтветитьThe best introduction vídeo ever in the Net! Congrats! Great Review! Greetings from Brasil!
ОтветитьWHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD THE PATCH YOU PLAYED ALONG TO THE DRUM MACHINE WITH … IS IT A FACTORY PATCH?
Ответитьi have a dx100 and i love it to death. its ruff and tuff for bass and can sound very very weird and warbly for ambient tones as well
ОтветитьI've watched this soo many times, just me and my DX100 🍿🤣🤣
Ответитьcracks me up how everthing was used on the intro tune..lol
ОтветитьIf you want atmospheric strings, this ain't it. Get a DX21, with the chorus and layering
Ответить@AudioPilz I love your music. Do you have albums I can listen to?
ОтветитьSega Genesis
ОтветитьMy first synth. Couldn't afford a DX-7. I think I paid $500ish new in 1986. It's basically half a DX-7 with 4 instead of 8 envelopes. But I still played the crap out of it and still have it. Though I need to replace the battery and install the original sounds.
Ответить"🤣from Aphex Twin to David Guetta" lol
ОтветитьDo the DX11!
ОтветитьVery popular with the Balkan crowd, especially Serbians. The mini keys are like playing an accordion making trills easier. Well known sound to that particular style of music.
ОтветитьRoger recorded his talk box with a moog in the studio. He only toured with the yamaha for convenience and reliability.
Ответитьmaybe a review of the DX27....some day😉
ОтветитьI wish the DX7 I had many years ago been as easy to use.
I thought the DX7 looked so cool, but I all I could do was the presets with a bit of mod.
Also the DX7 was so heavy to move.
The DX100 is excellent.
ОтветитьI’m both a machine learning developer and a musician, so I thought I’d ask: could AI perhaps be used to generate chord backings using machines similar to how the drum machine in this video works? Perhaps this could mean it only helps musicians rather than hurting them.
ОтветитьI find it funny that he immediately brings up the Hatsune Miku color scheme, as her detached sleeves actually reference the DX100's Pad layout.
In fact, Miku's V2 and up to V4X design is essentially an anthropomorphism of Yamaha hardware.
Dude, you are funny AF! I really appreciate your video edits that accompany the jokes.👍🏼
Ответитьit looks like a stocking stuffer, it looks like a much less instrumental Casio. but if my eyes were closed I'd think it was that woman ordinary with the EXTRA ORDINARY PIPES. FORGIVE IF I DON'T RECALL DETAILS, but Gramma Forstenlechtner told of saint Nicholas leaving coal for the bad kids.
ОтветитьYo that last house song SLAPS
ОтветитьBiggest turd ever made
ОтветитьHaha you killed me with David Guetta / Michel Houellbecq 🤣
ОтветитьThose gritty basses remind me of my old Genesis.
Ответить"Warehouse House" is a genre I never expected to hear - and it's beautiful :). Oh, and coming from a DX7 user, I always wanted one of these. I love FM synthesis, having taken a leaf out of Eno's book and just spent months programming all the patches from the numerous books I had, learning how each one was built and teaching myself how it all shaped. Fascinating sound tool if you're willing to put in the time to appreciate how it all comes together.
ОтветитьOnce you own one, you need one; use it as sound module, midi controller, practice keyboard, for bass and altered bass!!!
ОтветитьVery talented, funny and informative :)
The shouldn't have done the second one actually gave me a micro flashback haha
Mmm ok autechre orbital mark pritchard aphex twin and more.. weird that they’ve played Yamaha dx100
Ответитьawesome i could try to talkbox on it
ОтветитьFrom a chiptune point of view, it looks pretty good, but why?
ОтветитьWait so it's bad?
ОтветитьCharles Bukowski on Bad Gear. I don’t think I can handle this.
ОтветитьEvery time you make a Miku reference my inner teenage fanboy high-fives the crusty old prog-rocker-wannabe in the mirror :D
You've gone thru a bunch of Roland's 80s rack mount wunderboxen (My GR-50 is basically a D-110 with a GK guitar interface grafted onto its leading edge - wonderful sounds but really difficult to get your brain around it); how about taking a peek at Yamaha's everyone-had-to-have-one rack monster the TX-81Z? 4op, multitymbral, and you're not a captive of the tyranny of the sine wave any longer :D
Mad love for Chromeo!
Ответить......Slap a lot harder!!! LOL
ОтветитьBit trivial question but what's your video editing software ?
ОтветитьThat description at the end sold me on it…lol.
Those DACs are the sell point…noisy as heck, but in a good way, they practically act as a quasi-analog filter (that you really can’t adjust).
Best for Takboxing
ОтветитьI'm happy to see 8-bit keys get a mention. :D
