This video really helped me but there’s one thing I would add. At least for me it wasn’t working since my laptop had the Tftp client disabled on windows . So just in case somebody has the same problem , try to enable it in Windows-Control Panel- Programs- Turn windows features on or off- Tftp

I had to use Firmware Upgrade Utility 3.6.4... tftp didnt work for me

Mine says unable to get responses from the server

i put the 192.168.1.1 but it says need username and password. HELP

My Landlord has set up a guest account so I can use the wifi. I am now receiving a message for me to install driver software for netgear windr3400 n 600 wireless router. I dont think i need to install it. been using her wifi for 2 years. I dont know how to stop this install.

You are the ONLY person who actually figured out the right way to flash a firmware back to the original, thank you, I was able to recover two 2000v3's now they run marvelously.

Does this work with WNR834B v2? I know its an old router but I've been looking for a solution to get the stock firmware and I havent found it yet

I have a Diamond MM extender attached to the router, and have tried setting up the settings in DD-WRT myself. I have success in getting connection, but have frequent disconnects between my pc and the network multiple times per hour. I have attempted QoS setup with MAC priority as well as WoW getting high priority, and still have major lag on gaming that leads to disconnects all the time. I am tapped out of ideas, and was considering using this vid to flash back to the original release firmware for the WNR2000v3 as I have heard that people with this router have disconnect issues ever since the firmware updates, but I was looking for another educated opinion if possible? Thanks again bud!

I hope you're online, I got a Failed - Network error trying to download the zip file for the firmware.

I also followed your instructions and all is fine till flashing. but router never reboots. it says flashing successful and it just stays so with green light flashing. i even tried all possible firmwares on netgear website and non of them work. it just won't accept the firmware. help anyone?
