Can Blue Mage solo the POTD?

When I play with other players, the leader always takes the treasure. When I try to go the 30th floor, it says I'm not strong enough. Should I do this solo? Also, been waiting for over 3 hours for someone to join me. Just like EXTREME , no one wants to fight.

This should be very helpful for people starting out 🙂. going for the necro title now since I got the lone hero title.

I'm on free trial and my biggest consideration to purchase the game is that I find it hard to find group for potd well basically any duty as for me the wait time can be more than 30 minutes. Main job can do msq but for alt is miserable.

How does saving work ehen I queue up for party? Can I save and continue with other random players later?

I have been trying to do it solo for a while now, the mines in there can be annoying and sometimes useful.

So if I wanted to level my samurai(50) machinist(30) & red mage (50) I would first have to get to that sweet spot (floor 51-60) & re run the floor with the class I want to level?

Ok, so I'm still new and POTD is still a new concept to me and yes I've run it up till floor 30 but does it actually give me xp for my class outside of POTD or entirely separate?

What floors would you say give the best loot (or I should say chances of getting loot) for mounts and gil

Hi new to ffxiv great content btw. I want to level a lancer im 10 lvl can i solo potd and spam 51 to 60 floor with that level?

So for leveling should I just run all the floors up to floor 60 then reset and start at floor 1 again ? Cause after floor 20 q times are kind of infinite. Or should I run them solo ?

Want to get in it but I just find it so boring

mere moments ago I completed HoH fl100. I chose the ring. Thats as close as I'll get to fl200 of potd. I feel so good but so exhausted bc fl80 up any kinda aoe or charge attack kills anyone even tanks (usually)

Soloed all the way to floor 183 and rage quited. Perhaps ill become a Necromancer some other time

also an important note for newer POTD players:

do NOT use manticore on bosses! manticore pomanders are super valuable for clearing trash but they do very little damage to bosses, much less than you do in your regular form.

It's actually not all its cracked up to be leveling wise even doing the floor 50-60 now gives far less and I mean far less EXP then doing the dungeon of your level and the que times argument becomes redundant when POTD obviously also takes longer

I was told to spam 51-60 for leveling alt jobs so lmk what level range that's for and if it's a good idea

I've been playing for a few months but just got into palace of the dead! I'm using it to level alts and it's great. Can I ask, is Heaven on High just as rewarding? Can't find resources on notable loot from both :)

I just PotD to level up a DK since reaching Hevensward for first time and this timing is amazing. My friends and I were confused because it feels like you don't get much XP for jobs but we only got to level 20 and decided to stop to learn more.

So if you are going for that sweet title, what job would you recommend trying to do it on? I would imagine maybe PLD? RDM? I know all jobs can do POTD, but which one in your opinion might have the best chance of doing it and not dying? I love that the game has rare skill achievements like this, gives us something to dream about.

So one of my goals for next expansion is to finally get +99 gear in POTD and beat all 200 floors (not solo, I am not that good :)). Do I really need to have +99 gear to make it to floor 200 on a matched party? And how long would you expect it to take to get to +99 gear spamming floor 51? Appreciate the help!

Did a solo run, started floor 11 and inside the starting circle was a mimic who 2 shot me :'(

If you are in a group and one guy triggers a lire trap, DO NOT HEAL OR ATTACK THE MOBS. Let the guy die and rez him, the mobs will only be aggroed on the guy who stepped on the trap. Then pull them one by one.

Isn't the highest check point floor 51? I don't think you can just start up at 191 if you die that high and keep going
