Jay, THIS is why I love George. He does that. He's not any longer the guy in DOKKEN 1988.
I've listened to Vai, Satriani and for me, they don't....not like George.
For me, before Lynch there was Trower and Blackmore. They do it too.

Great lesson Jay, natuarlly Nuno is spot on.Your'e an inspiration Jay in many ways not only musically. I always find Steve Stevens playing - even the chords and the repeating note pattern he plays through the verse he plays on songs like Flesh for Fantasy just speak volumes.

Exactly! Nuno not only manages to have the energy and curiosity of a boy, but he manages to provoke that particular dance movement like beats and makes us feel that intimately each note resonates like a vibrant flow in our subconscious. I am addicted to this bold and original style and the spectacular way he develops and executes his work. In general, he uses this creative peculiarity in editions, singing, compositions and in his collaborative participation with other artists. I consider Nuno Bettencourt one of the most complete artists of our time.

Sounds so similar to the description of the 'great' singers. Every note will have an intention, a feel of its own within the delivery. You're not just getting it out, you are conveying, you are communicating something. What you want to say is up to you but you do it with purpose. Beautiful mentality (honestly could apply to anything).

Edit- I think it was Chris Liepe - Once you know it, you can't unhear it...

absolutely spot on Jay! Amazing players like Tim Henson (Polyphia).. technically 'off the chart'... emotionally 'in the dust'

Nuno is 100% right Jay! Good advice. I think I do that already I just haven't thought of it that way before. When I try too hard to play a difficult song then it ends up sounding dull and lifeless because I'm more focused on hitting all the notes rather than the fun of playing. So yes I think that fits us all. Stevie Ray Vaughn was a good dancer for sure then come to think of it!

Picking up on something you said about making music, Prince said: “When i want to hear new music, i make it.”

Back in the 90s, when Nuno was doing commercials for Washburn on MTV, I was reading guitar mags where “Diamond Darrell” AKA “Dime” was interviewed. He stated that he practiced standing, and I have always tried to do just that. Nuno is not alone or wrong in this statement. I am going to woodshed now as I need to get closer to your level, sadly my playing ebbs and flows, stops and starts continually. Fist bump!

Nuno Bettencourt always has been my favorite because of that. The other guitarist i like is John Petrucci because he really puts feelings in his solos as it really sings.
