Helped solve it when sprayed with WD40, window would close but handles wouldn't close fully.

This didn't work for me as there was nothing to push in. I discovered there was a locking bolt underneath the window which you cant see but you can feel.

I was then able to work out that this was hitting against the window frame so I put the mechanism into the “full window open” mode (straight up with the handle) then I used a wood file which is made of iron to lever the window up as I shut it.

It worked and allowed the locking pin to engage and the window sealed shut.
