Awesome video!
Ответитьmine seems like it doing the opposite? It's running more smooth than usual when the proxies are disabled and when I enable them everything gets like super slow
ОтветитьStraight to the point. Thank you!
Ответитьyou the man
ОтветитьDoes anyone know how to rename files after creating proxies? For example, if I created Proxy files in order to watch the footage back and figure out what is taking place (that way I can name the file as such) - how do I rename both the .mp4 file and the Proxy file associated?
ОтветитьHi. Thanx for the great video. I have one quick question maybe you can answer. So the new DJI Osmo Action 4, automatically creates .lrf files which are low resolution files (lrf), or already proxies. My question is, how do I use them in premiere. How do I connect them to my original files? thanx
ОтветитьJust like butter😉
ОтветитьThx a lot!
ОтветитьThank u man , over the years I can now edit fast !! one sub for ya !
ОтветитьSlow motion, so if i don't make proxies of my 60fps and slow it down 40% and just do 24fps will the footage look a lot less smooth or how bad is it? many thanks and you're my go to premiere reference.
ОтветитьThanks so much Matt! Really helpful :) Question - once I have finished with my project, and would like to archive it, am I able to delete the proxy files without affecting the project? (to save space on my drives of course). And is it possible to create proxies again once deleted if the project gets revived? Thanks in advance :)
ОтветитьI was looking for your proxies video and I guess you replaced it with this updated one! thanks! :D
ОтветитьHey Matt thanks for the tips. I was able to edit a concert with 4 cameras shot in 4k in no time... BUT for some reason the watermark will Not go away when I render? How can I trouble shoot this? The toggle is not enabled and its still there. Pls advise?
ОтветитьDude thank you so much. You're Awesome!
ОтветитьDo we lose the quality of the final product or it keeps its 4k quality?
ОтветитьHi Matt, i'm a big fan of your tutorials. Unfortunately i lost the link to the video where you explain how to edit much faster the 720p clips in the timeline and then after the editing process is finished you replace the (downscaled) 720p clips by the original 4k clips. Could you please help me to find it because i can imagine it's a lot more simple than working with proxy's. Thanks in advance! Kind regards. herman(from Belgium)
Ответитьif am sending video to after effects will i need tio disable pproxy or will it do it automaticly.
Ответитьthis is a good video. 5 stars would stay here again.
Ответитьwhat if you already interperted the footage?
ОтветитьPremier crashes when trying to create proxies
4K 120FPS 4:2:2 10 bits
Anyone with this problem?
Helped me a ton, thanks!
ОтветитьAs always a year later - thank you.
ОтветитьThank you Matt! Nearly a year later, this video is a real help. I appreciate ya!
ОтветитьYou really help with your explanations
ОтветитьThanks, Matt. Very well done, informative and helpful! Have a great day! 😀
ОтветитьReally useful video, thank you Matt!
ОтветитьSo I made proxies the exact way you and others have shown in this video... it worked exactly how you said except for the intended effect. When the proxies are enabled the project is infinitely slower to the point where you can't do anything in premier. Like... if i click somewhere on the timeline it will take literal minutes for the preview to catch up. I dunno what to do anymore... I want to throw my computer off of a cliff.
ОтветитьThis is so good! One question. I made the proxy how you have outline and when I bring a piece of footage into the timeline the proxy watermark is there BUT when I render it out it disappears!! Does this mean I am no longer editing using the proxy file? Any help would be amazing!
ОтветитьMatt -- when you applied the slo-mo speed adjustment to the 509 source clip, why didn't the 509 instance of that same source clip that was already on the timeline automatically get that same speed adjustment? It would seem that when you apply an adjustment to a clip in the project panel it should update all instances of that clip that might already be on the timeline.
ОтветитьThank you for this bro big help for me 🔥🔥 godbless
ОтветитьGreat video Matt..thanks
Ответитьyou sir are a genius, thank you
ОтветитьHow can I create a proxy file WITH ALPHA in premiere Pro?
ОтветитьIf creating proxies for a whole wedding shoot only takes a couple of minutes you're probably in a quit fast computer. I'm not that lucky. Spending all cash on the camera.
I found out in the settings my camera (Sony ZV-E1) can create proxies during recording. I guess this is not prores but can it be a better option to cut down conversion time to zero? What would be the workflow?
And if I follow your guide instead and shoot in slog 10-bit 4:2:2, will the premiere proxy files be in the same format? Will it be suitible for color grading?
Late to the Proxy game, but better late than never. Big frustration cutting 4k footage on my Mac trash can. Even had issues using a 2019 Mac Pro Tower. This should help. I've always enjoyed your channel. Thanks!
ОтветитьGREAT!! Thank You!
Ответить😢 thanks
ОтветитьDude, you`re the best! Thanks for making this, it helped me a ton :)
ОтветитьYou The Mannnn! 👌
ОтветитьDamn, the proxy trick saved me thanks to your old vid from 5 yrs ago! just updated to Premiere Pro 2023 and I can't believe it's even smoother! you da best! Cheers!!
ОтветитьNot being able to interpret your footage is such a pain in the butt.....
ОтветитьThere's been a lot of updates in 2023....any updates for this video you'd recommend?
ОтветитьHi Matt! Great video and very useful. I've got a question: let's say if you've created your proxy, but then you need to link that clip to after effects, you lose the proxy there, right?! Is there any chance that I can keep it in After Effects as well? Thanks in advance
ОтветитьThank you for this🎉🎉
ОтветитьUnfortunately you didn't take me to media encoder
ОтветитьThanks for the video. Can you store the original footage on an external hard drive, create proxy on local hard drive and then disconnect external HD during editing process?
ОтветитьThere is no option for that speed duration option from the project box. I'm using v23 premier pro and encoder
ОтветитьMy premier pro can't see or connect to my encoder...my encoder is version 22. And my premier is 23. Is it because of that?
ОтветитьAwesome. I thought I was using proxies until I saw this and knew I did not create any proxies. Much better now!
