You know what vaultek needs for this to be even better? Add an integrated cellular connection provide realtime tamper alarm and gps data, that way if it’s removed from your property, it could potentially be recovered and offenders arrested.

Almost every pick he does exploits the same characteristic that locks have, that's the tolerances that are somewhat necessary for smooth operation of the so called security device.

Hold on. Did I just see what I think I saw? LPL not only praised a security device manufacturer for their responce, but even went on to say that the device in the video was worth using? It's a Yule Time mirical! Also, Vaultek's stock prices just shot through the roof.

I bought a VIFOOKMIT Gun Safe that does password, fingerprint or key. I managed to get into the safe with a letter opener, flashlight and another small screwdriver. I was able to see the program button inside the safe and press it with the letter opener while pressing the code to add another fingerprint and then open the gun safe. The safe in your video has a latch on each side which should keep someone from prying the side. The VIFOOKMIT only has the latch in the middle. The only thing easier that I have opened was an access control panel.

Hello LPL, you may want to revisit this. It can be opened with a two step process. First, the button panel can be removed with a flat screwdriver with a prying force. This will reveal a small hole where a straightened paperclip can fit in to release the latch. This works on both the V10 and V20 Vaultek gun safes.

I love that it beeps and flashes if you use the lock until someone puts in the correct code. That is an awesome edition.

If disk-detainer cores are so much work to unlock, why isn't every lock using them? how much money is a Disk-Detainer core (assembly and components) in comparison to a traditional core?

The only reason you would need the bypass key is because you forgot the combination. That fact that the safe beeps when opened with the bypass key, and can't be turned off withouth the combination makes no sense to me. What am I missing?

Someone put a disk-detainer backup lock on their gun safe, what a revolutionary concept

I’d like to imagine that after the first video dropped and after the fix was rolled out, Vaultek assigned someone to go through all of LPL’s videos in order to make a gun safe that he would approve of.

Do you have a list of safes you would recommend? Im looking for a digital safe with quick access but can also keep my passport and some paperwork in. Thanks in advance

Neat, but If vaultec starts making underground bomb shelters I think I’ll take my chance with the bomb.

Not mentioned in the video, these come with a plastic coated retainer cable that is intended to be wrapped around something substantial and fixed in place.

I don’t know if this model includes this feature or just some of the others but I know some of their products have a way to make the keyway inoperable if you don’t want any way other than the code to open it. I’d be curious to see if LPL could open it non destructively with the keyway being made a non option

What tool does he use to rotate all the discs before using the pick he made?

Vaultek fixes flaws discovered by LPL. Others (not naming names) say "take down your videos exploiting our crap products! You're harming customers!"

Ok, dunno if you'll see this or not but did you have the safe combination as '12345' by default and/or ease of opening for the video, or was that a Space Balls reference subtly thrown in?
