I remember my dad coming home from the druids in Allerton Road and sending me to the chippie. There was a big queue of people from the pubs in Allerton Road. Peter kay is right you can run fast in your slippers.
Then the curry shops open ed and the chippies only served seabrook factory and Benthams mill..the corner shops shut half day Wednesday.then 6am till midnight. They only employed their family.
They made absolute fools out of us.i was just a kid.
Go and look at the lovely old library at the bottom of greenbank Road

I lived in Bradford for 2yrs as an international student. It was so cheap there. Also the best part is you are only an hour from the major cities such as Leeds,Manchester and York

Video at 17-43 there was a no right turn sign, and you went right. Plus I can not believe you didn't show City park fountain. ! The big building . Was the Town hall.

my dad was born in Lithuania the war, and moved 10-12 times before the age of 9. Finally, he settled in Bradford at age 9, until he came to Canada at age 21. He spoke very fondly of Bradford City. Very industrial, but very formative for him. He would love to see this bike tour. Thanks for uploading.

Ive worked and partied in Bradford 20 odd years ago . The city centre i hardly reckognised in this vlog , it looks much nicer and cleaner now ...
I dread to think what its like once you leave the city for the first couple of miles in most directions 🙊 no offence to those who live there , but gee, ya wouldnt wanna go down some alleys period unless ya knew how to greet a muslim Allahs way haha ..

I live in Harrogate for 10 year's and only a handful of people just said hi on the streets. Then moved to Bradford and the love from peaple was out of this world i hardly ever had to cook both naigbours we're Muslim and always sent food over locals always said hello and it's wonderful... biased and racist will always complain..

I live in Queensbury which is a BD postcode …never go to Bradford it really is awful . My town is Halifax ….. trouble free

You can't help where you are born every town or city are just as bad as the next BRADFORD is TOP PLACE!!! CHIP!

You only cycled around the city centre and didn't get to "see" Bradford. Outside of the centre there are places like Girlington, Manningham and Holme Wood - now those places are rough! Although there's a beauty in the decay, poverty and neglect.

Lots of veiled racist comments on this video - most have no knowledge of the reasons WHY there is a large Muslim population in West Yorkshire (as well as Indian, Bangladeshi, Polish, Irish, Ukrainian and Lithuanian.) Ignorance is bliss.

Bradford will alway be the best!!... best restaurants, best parks, best asian foodstores, best places of worship, broadway shopping centre, theatres and museums, extravagant wedding venues, capital of culture and of course friendly people.... people descend on bradford daily so shouldn't criticise as it has all the above to offer.... ❤

I was born in Bradford, and came to visit March 2023, I enjoyed my time there. It's bitter sweet, both my schools have been knocked down, my dad's old business (had the likes of Smokie and Slade, having their loudspeakers fixed there) is a Pakistani jewellery store, even back in the 70's he was the last white guy in the street. Both the areas I grew up in are now 90% non white.

Can tell this was early morning and doing laps round the town centre or as you call it creating a border on your maps was a smart move if you branched out to bd2 bd3 bd4 there’s a good chance u wouldn’t have a bike or a camera 😂

Bradford is by no means as bad as it's made out. I'm a West Countryman but lived in Bradford back in the late sixties and early seventies. What is striking about Bradford is the surrounding Pennine upland. It is much more down to earth and homely than the rich Cotswold.

A bit rude @cycleWithJay. You wrongly missed a sign that said one way and blamed Bradford. You then kept going on main roads that took you away from the City and complained again. During the 30min video, I only saw a few drivers driving like dick heads and YOU was one of them!!
The population of Bradford & District is over 500k and you observed a tiny section of the population and assumed it was 40%+ Muslim. Wow. Based on your ride through…. a Muslim area (BTW, it’s called Manningham, NOT Belle Vue).
