Thank you ... Definitely more friendly and efficient than the forum
ОтветитьShut this off
Ответитьwhat you doing? who cant see text he types.
Ответитьnot work in mint 21 xfce :(
ОтветитьIt works in Terminal, but the software manager is still asking for passwords and at the login too.
ОтветитьIt's a safety feature, KEEP IT!!!
ОтветитьI no longer have to enter my password when typing ‘sudo visudo’ in the terminal, but I do still have to enter it when installing new applications. So it doesn’t work 100% for me.
ОтветитьThank you. If I wanted people to tell me how to use my computer, I would be on windows. Moderators can.discourage it but not giving the solution is counter productive. I am sure if more people were allowed to do it, we would have an inbetween confirmation prompt, that say I'm sure by now.
ОтветитьYou should leave what to type in your description so people can copy and paste...
ОтветитьWorks!
ОтветитьThanks a lot!!!
ОтветитьThanks a lot man
ОтветитьJust tested this with Linux Mint cinnamon 20. It did not work. 4:44 pm central time 7-17-20
ОтветитьThanks for the help! I originally went to the Linux Mint forums to find the answer, but all I found were lecture replies from elitist moderators and users telling everyone that they shouldn't do that, and they may as well just go back to Windows.
ОтветитьI cant see what you're typing in!
ОтветитьFor those who can't see see the text, he typed: sudo visudo at the start and then at the end he types 'minty' but that is HIS user name! So just type in YOUR user name, then a space and then type: ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: ALL
Then (control button) X then Y then ENTER button
Tnx Man !!!
ОтветитьI agree with Scouser 19 This was the best thing I've ever done in Linux. Brave of you to have us use Vi editor. Worked great though! Thanks!
ОтветитьThank God! This was the best thing i've ever done in linux. I finally solved this password nonsense. Thanks a lot for the tutorial.
ОтветитьI guess it's just me but....why the heck did you make this so small?
