It seems like the SNL Celebrity Jeopardy sketches heavily "borrowed" the stupid answer slow-burn shtick. There must have been a lot of eye-rolling from the SCTV folks when that first hit the air.

OMG that Martin Short character..geezus it cracks me UP. Just found this and had forgotten about this character. He’s one of my top 3 fave comics. John Candy and Andrea Mitchell are good in this too. I like Jim Flaherty, but this character not so much. I think he does "Count Blah" on here at some point.
