You, in the middle, seem to think your opinion is the only one that matters, which is why I don’t really care for your reactions. This is the second single from a forthcoming album, and everyone is going to have their favorite cuts. If ole boy in the green thinks the song is a 10, he has good reason, because Anderson and Bruno put time and effort into making an album of songs that’s different from what’s on the radio right now. They went to the 70s Philly Sound, reminiscent of the O’Jays, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, The Spinners, etc., and put it into this song. It has Anderson’s Malibu vibes, and takes you back to the skating rinks of the 70s and 80s. I happen to think the song is a 10 as well! By the way, the lyric was “you smell BETTER than a bbq” , not you smell LIKE a bbq. It’s a metaphor…geez.

Baby Boomers know what anticipation is and how it builds to make someone or something memorable. That doesn't happen very much in present-day with all the instant gratification. "Smelling better than a BBQ" refers to how happy folks get when they are going to a BBQ and they smell all the good smells, knowing they are going to have a relaxing, fun day and even a day where they might meet some special. Anderson Paak is amazing -- drumming and singing at the same time is difficult. Bruno is really showcasing Anderson with the Silk Sonic songs which are awesome and something artists of his stature don't readily do. Anderson's talent is freaking awesome but he has not had the exposure Bruno has. Silk Sonic is changing that! Love this video, all the 70's vibe again like their prior video; the bicycle, VW Bug, Bus, and delivery truck, the girls' rollerskates, their outfits, the congas, instruments, and even the fan in the background - all legit 1970s. Bruno Mars is at his best with the 70's vibe and is extremely detail-oriented when staging his videos and camera work. Did you notice how the camera blurs out Bruno to give Anderson the focus? This song reminds me of the boys in high school in the '70s going to Ocean Beach in San Francisco every day after school and jamming!

This song is a fun song and it's LIT! The other song was more romantic. You have to understand they are going to have different mixtures of songs on the Album, I don't believe it's going to be all (slow jams) on the Album, (but a mixture of different beats), which will be good. Bruno and Anderson wants us to ponder and milk each song one at a time, they are smart! So far both songs are great in it's own way. And their voices always blend nicely! Love them!
