Have I got this correct - that No Fap and Semen Retention are two different treatments because - although they both deal with not ejaculating in order to utilize the energy & life force within semen - they are each used in different applications?

My understanding at the moment is that the art of No Fap would be the practice that is used for single males and chaste males that want to abstain from ejaculating (via self-masturbation) in order to utilize or channel the energy & life force within their semen toward some other direction. However, the practice of Semen Retention would be what is used by males who are married or have a regular sex partner and want to "Edge" (via sexual activity) for 30 days at least before ejaculating, or, abstain completely from sex for 30 days in order to utilize or channel the energy & life force within their semen toward some other direction.

If I'm not mistaken, that kind of fits in with what I remember from scriptures from the Christian faith, for example, Proverbs 6:25 (No Fap; indefinite) versus 1 Corinthians 7:5 (Semen Retention; when a committed couple only agrees to do so for a while - but not indefinitely - so that the male can spend that time and energy toward prayer rather than ejaculation via sex; but then resume normal marital relations after that)

Just asking for the sake of clarity, but is my understanding of the difference between the two practices correct?
