ОтветитьMade this tonight for the fam. It was awesome! My family isn’t a big fan of chinese food but they loved this. I’ll definitely be making this again. I agree with some of the other posts that you could make a whole series on famous restaurant dishes.
I have honestly made at least 6 of your recipes and they’re all terrific. STCG is a known and trusted chef in my household.
two hacks to try - use a little baking soda in your marinade, traditional chinese method to tenderize beef. also - use potato starch for a crispier fry.

ОтветитьPanda's Beijing Beef reminds me of beef liver, which I actually enjoy... I know I'm one of the few. I get it every time when I go there. That and orange chicken, rice and lo-mein mixed together

ОтветитьWhy don’t you velvet the beef first? You gotta marinated the beef in baking soda for 30 mins first and then wash it off then dry it before you coat it in corn starch to make it tender.

ОтветитьVery nice. Just made it and eating as we speak. However, the crisp is just not there. I even did it in small batches... it's like the sauce takes over and makes it non crispy.
