"Fury Road" is one of my all time fav movies but this didn't do it for me unfortunately... it really just felt like a rehash of stuff we saw 9 years ago, but better back then. I liked the beginning and the ending, but there was just SO much middle in this movie :(

Don't really agree, I thought this film was INCREDIBLE. Kinda graphic novelly / bookish in a way but just mind-blowingly entertaining and inventive and ATJ was surprisingly good as a MUCH YOUNGER Furiosa, it was perfect

This movie is like Frank Miller's Sin City meets Caravaggio's paintings set in Dystopian Wasteland

I’ve just seen the movie and I have to say, as a Mad Max fan… I’m disappointed. It felt like everyone was in cosplay of iconic characters, on top of all the immersion breaking janky CGI. Also Anya Taylor-Joy clearly has enemies in the Wig department because her wigs was horrendous. Chris hemsworth for me was the only saving grace.

Tom Burke is amazing in the BBC series "The Musketeers" and the show "C.B. Strike." Both are excellent programs.

Not sure about Furiosa, but Dune is made by Legendary Studios, NOT by WB. They are just a distributor which seem to receive a lot of credit for things they didn't make. Another example are Monsterverse films.

Outside of there being sand there is nothing similar really between these two franchises they are drastically different in tone and what they're about high octane action is not the same thing as high sci-fi one is post-apocalyptic one is a space Opera they are not the same thing. Go to mad Max for the high octane well choreographed action in the wacky tone and world that it set in I go to dune for sci-fi thought-provoking ideas world building. Mad Max and fallout have a whole lot more in common than mad Max and dune

Strange in a country with oldest living indigenous culture in the world that there were no aboriginal people in the film.

Great review. When I first saw them doing this film, I was so excited about it until I saw Joy was in it. I personally am not a fan of her work. I'm sure she's talented, but she's not my cup of tea. However, I do hope that it does well at the box office so we get more films, so I will do my part and go see it.

Dont think this is gonna have the same huge success at the box office like Fury Road ,,,bring back Tom Hardy & Theron & move on with the Mad Max saga that fans are really calling for.

John seale and dean semler gave the look of the previous movies. This new movie looks like shit. Cinematography always supersedes crappy compositing.

I remember watching mad max fury road…..borrreed. It was so overrated. Emperors New Clothes situation.

I thought the reason why George Miller's Justice League movie didn't happen was because of complications with the Writer's Strike and various filming delays.

i think i had a similar feeling with chris hemsworth’s performance in bad times at the el royale. i’d love to see him do more nuanced character roles as well so i’m curious how y’all think he would do in a true detective type role? maybe with a series he can have more time to really dive into said character

Don't know....I rather despised Fury Road. I found it dull, bland and boring.

I think Hemsworth needs to return to Australia and do some sort of independent drama in his home country. It would be fun to hear him with his real accent which would allow him to do some great character acting. It worked for Nicole Kidman after her career downturn in the mid-2000s

I think Fury Road was a great movie but I don’t think it pioneered blockbuster movies making it into Best Picture at the Oscar’s because they have done this for a long time it happened with Jaws, Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Arc, E.T., Lord of the Ring Trilogy, Avatar, District 9, Inception, Toy Story 3, Black Panther, Dune and I think Mad Max also fits into this but the academy has done this before Mad Max

Having a wasteland princess background is not necessarily a bad thing. In that regard it kindof has a Terminator feel to it. In T1, Linda Hamilton is the damsel in distress but by T2 shes a full on cyborg killing badass. Difference is that Terminator released in chronological order so the character growth is obvious. Where as in this franchise Fury Road is T2 and Furiosa is T1.

Me whi has seen both fury road and part 2 but not sin city or watchmen
