ОтветитьI am commenting on every single song of the Undertale Yellow Soundtrack playlist! (Read this knowing I discovered, explored and played Deltarune (in 2021) before Undertale (in 2022), which to the current day of this comment I have only watched the entirety of, but not actually played. Hence why I assume that I like Deltarune more than Undertale, because it was personal and... new, in a way, but can still feel what I would call a "fake" nostalgia from Undertale despite that).
I played Undertale Yellow one time. My playthrough went across from 10/12/2023 to 26/12/2023, during a total of 15-16 days. I played it, aimed for the best, and got True Pacifist. When I finish it, I tell Flowey to wait. And get off the computer for the day. Some days pass by, and I finally start watching a True Pacifist route on YT. Some days pass by again, and I gain the courage to watch the not-so-dark path, and then the truly dark path. Some time passes once again, and I finally watch the end offered by Flawed Pacifist.
...for DANZA!!
Are dancing shoes required for this little contest? 'Cause Clover's gonna ignite this dancing floor, to show El Bailador their best!
Even if you don't particularly like this kind of traditional-specific music, you can't deny that this song doesn't fail at putting a small side grin in your face!
Its sheer charm and energy are just too contagious for you not to let yourself sink in the festive feels, enjoy yourself for a bit, just like Clover does!
I saw some days ago Noteblock's upload of this same tune, back from December 2019. I would even say that, from the pool of songs that I know were produced a long time ago comparing to the release of UTY in 2023, "DANZA" is the first piece I can look at and internally say "yeah, I can tell this one was made a WHILE ago". And don't get me wrong on this! Despite agreeing that it sounds dated, that doesn't mean it's bad/not good, far from it! It still manages to convey the excitement that El Bailador puts in his delightful moves; I would only argue that the track could have been a bit more... complex? That's the best word I can think of. Or maybe I just feel this way because the soundtrack is so short and I wanted to listen to it more XD
Speaking of the duration, it almost matches the length of his own theme. Even if in cases like "Forlorn" and "Protocol", the music doesn't loop around until it plays exactly two times (which ends up being a bit confusing, because you gotta consider that those songs actually have half of the time they present to have), "DANZA" is, rather unfortunately, shorter than it should be.
However, there's a reason for it! (kinda)
When swapping turns in the battle, this particular tune will intercalate with another one, one that is a bit more tense, since it's Clover's turn to show off! It's kind of a bummer at first, when you can't exactly listen to this magnificent song while fighting El Bailador, but at least it isn't much of a downside when you see that you aren't losing a super long bop!
I actually have my own theory/headcannon related to this! When the tense tune plays, Clover is, evidently, the one who is dancing. While "DANZA" is playing however, I assume it's El Baliador's turn, which just makes me want that the devs would've put El Bailador breakdancing all over the place when Clover is deciding what his next (not dance) move will be XD (seriously, just envision that for a moment... wouldn't it be the most amazing thing ever?!?!) Well, at least we get to see him flexin' his handsome bod- I MEAN, poses :), while Clover struggles to survive the power of dance! Him doing a superhero-like pose, winking seductively at the camera (my god I can't with this guy's charisma! I wish he was real so we could be friends :(
Can't forget about the most obvious exciting thing about this special encounter! (besides El Bailador himself, if you couldn't tell)
The brand new rhythm mechanics!
Now, there are some gripes I have with it. Mainly, it was really hard for me to get used to it, which might just look like one problem, but it spreads to every single new turn that passes. The fact that you need to hold down the side you want to be on, to then press it, and just stop holding it when you want to go back to the center. Personally, I would've made it so you had to double-click in a direction to more freely move around the three tiles; that, or possibly clicking the specific key that is assigned to every one of the color tiles (a setting that you could even set yourself to your best comfort). I will admit, I don't have much experience with rhythm experiences in general (besides possibly playing some beep boop game for one and a half year some time ago), so, like I said, I had major difficulties with it. However, instead of trying to say that it was unfair, giving up on it, or even turning on "Easy Mode" to press the notes at any given moment, I just always told myself: "This is a ginormous skill issue of mine, so I will make sure that it won't stay like that!". And so, barely scraping by alive from a super hard pattern...
EL BAILADOR HITS ME WITH THAT STUNNING FINALE! aaaaaaand I have to redo it all over again now :) (AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
I am not sure if I made it through this performance in a single day, but if it wasn't in one, then two was for sure the lucky number! Then again, I might've made it past the struggle, but that doesn't mean I was all well and kickin'. Gotta agree with El Bailador here, "sometimes having fun means a few visits to the doctor" XD
Through his inspiring dialogue along the colourful spectacle, it's easy to catch some more of this fishy dancer's story!
He's just a guy who is trying to live life at its peak, and trying to get others to join in on his fun! It's not great to hear it, but he's right when he says that the Underground became so stale and grey with the terrible outcome of the war. He might come off as a weirdo, off-putting and annoying to some monsters, but it's undeniable that his golden-hearted attitude of having a shot at cheering other people's day is heart-warming, to say the least. Not only that, he even begins to understand (if he didn't already know) that not all people find enjoyment in what he specifically likes, which makes him more tolerable for the people that didn't find amusement in him, and, most important of all, strengthens his will and passion to continue to make others happy by incentivizing them through their favorite activities, finally showing that he only wants to make everyone laugh, have fun, or even just giggle a little. A brightened day to one is what lightens El Bailador's heart, at the end of day!
Some interesting details I also just noticed include his cape having the exact same colors of the rhythm section, blue, green and magenta/red (at least, that's what the artwork present in Noteblock's music video I mentioned entails), the fact that El Bailador doesn't even attack per se, he literally just stopped Clover's life-changing quest to dance with them (he doesn't mean any harm! did I already said I love El Bailador?), and finally the fact that he has his own trailer in MasterSword's channel (dated from the exact same day as Noteblock's upload); one that is short, yes, but hey at least he has his OWN trailer!
Well... it can't be prolonged for much more now...
It is time for Clover and El Baillador to go after their own mission
Clover keeps the hunt for the missing humans close to their heart.
As for El Bailador, he has other hearts to delight now...
Farewell El Bailador. May our paths hopefully cross once again, my friend!
Justice delivered.

ОтветитьMe, when they made that one Undertale piano in actual bossfight:
ОтветитьWhen I was playing this game, the music kept restarting on his attacks, and needless to say it was the best experience of my life. 10/10
ОтветитьHis Genocide death is probably the most saddest of everyone’s. Glad I never had to go through that.
ОтветитьFRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN FANS RISE UP, WE HAVE FACED MUCH HARDER THAN THIS MAN'S CHALLENGES
ОтветитьI beaten El Bailador... with the patch equipped.
ОтветитьUndertale bosses in Veracruz 🦀
ОтветитьEl Bailador > Mettaton!
ОтветитьI was just trying to find a totally different song by writing danza and got jumpscared by this
ОтветитьCool Mixtape with Danza leitmotif would be cool
ОтветитьAnd I thought I was bad in this fight, it's not complicated (I play on Mobile)
ОтветитьEl Bailador my beloved ❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьHoly ZUNpets
That’s pretty much all I can remember about this guy, because this fight sucked
Uhg, I'm being danced to my mental limits. Please, spare me my fellow brotheren.
Ответитьel bailador after 2 picosecond
"Fight has ended 1 picosecond ago, get out!
You know the character is awesome when zunpets spawn in the melody
ОтветитьEl Bailador: *Mexico intensifies*
Ответить(tried use google translate for the spanish for el bailador + the feel, also i know i probobly messed it up)
el bailador es el mejor personaje, que la canción se llame la danza tiene sentido
This fight was easy though and tons of fun. Then again, I think Everhood trained me for this.
ОтветитьWhen them mother 3 trumpets HITTIN
ОтветитьLs in chat for anyone who turned on auto-rhythm.
ОтветитьThis track is 42 seconds long and the only way you're realistically going to hear the whole thing is if you listen to the soundtrack.
Ответить1) Shows up literally out of nowhere
2) Introduces a brand new game mechanic
3) Murders you multiple times
4) Continues dancing
5) Leaves
I dont like that people Critize this fight FOR THEIR OWN SKILL ISSUE
for example:
Your playing a game
Y9u notice the mechanics dont work very well
YOU HATE THE CHARACTER BECAUSE ITS MAKING YOU RAGE
its just skill issues and shows people are not good at rhythm games
Dont you hate it when your rhythm game INTERRUPTS THE MUSIC EVERY TURN
ОтветитьThe title of this song reminds me of “hold me closer, Tony Danza”
ОтветитьThis man lived in the UG apartment
Argued with a bunch of bats over wether they should play banger music or stay in silence
Got kicked out
Opened a dancing club
Forced a random child to dance till death while hiking in a mountain
Conclusion : el baildor is based
this song goes harder than it was given permission to as a random boss that appeared
ОтветитьI died so fucking much
ОтветитьEl Bailador is Spanish for The Dancer or someone who dances…
And Mettaton is the Undertale boss that dances…
Me: OH MY GOSH GUYS I THINK METTATON AND EL BAILADOR SHOULD BE BESTIES
This fucker almost ruined my pacifist run. 10/10, would be humiliated by fishface 2: electric boogaloo again.
ОтветитьReminds me of Vega's Theme from Street Fighter.
ОтветитьIt took great power and responsibility not to shoot that guy
ОтветитьAs a mobile player: I loathe this dude
ОтветитьI hear ZUN trumpets. Fantastic
ОтветитьOk like genuinely, fuck this guy for slapping me across the cheeks on the last part of the battle.
ОтветитьI hate this guy(yes this annoying dancer is the worst character in this game game would be better without him)
ОтветитьHearing those wonderful zunpets whenever his turn ends makes this so much fun
ОтветитьMEXICO DANCER RAAAAAAAAAAAH 🔥🦅🗣️🇲🇽
ОтветитьMe before El Baliador
"I wanna do this genocide route, seems like the most reasonable one so far"
After El Baliador:
