Pretty amazing after 40 years not one bumped head or any cuts on fingers or black and blue fingernails. Always finishes every project on time, with absolutely no imperfections. Never a complaint from one customer in 40 years. A whole house built in a couple of hours to perfection. Must be the safety glasses. Makes the whole human race feel like losers. Now let me tell you about this bridge I’ve got for sale in Brooklyn.🧰🛠️😂
ОтветитьI watched all the way to the end. Very interesting show.
ОтветитьWatched New Yankee Workshop every week. It was a hopeful time in my life and seeing Norm create things gave me the courage to do the same.
I thank you Norm Abrams.
It's dang hard to believe that was over 30 years ago but, we all get older and none of us can cheat time. The clips in this video show that. Just look at Tommy Silva, he's younger than his son Charlie is now.
I'm not sure a "Lifetime Achievement Award" is something anyone really wants to receive. It means you're old and you've got a trophy to prove it.
It's obvious Norm has slowed down a bit but, so have I.
is this where all the Norm ass kissers meet to comment? oh is it bob villas channel?
ОтветитьHe's probably like 90 years old by now?
ОтветитьI watched it to the end....always loved Norm Abram's shows
ОтветитьMiss watching him, he worked magic with wood. Nobody better!
ОтветитьMan I go back to Bob Villa days.
ОтветитьI watched to the end
ОтветитьI believe he also guest starred on “Home Improvement “, which one of the characters he was loosely based on.
What a humble and kind guy! Thanks for all of your insights, knowledge and do it yourself tips!!!
Im.sure he's living his best life in semi retirement...
ОтветитьI watched till the end
ОтветитьGlad to see you can still get all his wood working projects on video.
ОтветитьI watched 'til (*NOT "till") the end.
ОтветитьI watched until the end
ОтветитьIt makes me sad to hear of This Old House being described as a reality TV show. Perhaps now, but the roots of the show were how-to/education/history. You could probably throw architectural styles in there as well. Now as they double the size of a house in order to load it with modern gadgetry, it causes me to miss those early shows with the beautiful homes, the heart and history.
ОтветитьJC was a carpenter too
ОтветитьIf I could afford a workshop like his, I would be able to build a brand new house, I’ve worked in many professional workshops and they weren’t half as equipped as his,I mean to cut a dovetail all you need is a mallet and chisel and a saw,he has a machine that costs hundreds of dollars, laughable😂😂😂
ОтветитьI watched to the end
ОтветитьI watched till the end, I thought it was rather interesting
ОтветитьI could not stand Bob Villa. I almost all of the shows from the 1st season to 42. I have most of the NYW and ATOH. It's great for binge-watching and learning something new every time!!
ОтветитьOne of my many hobbies is gunsmiting, which includes both wood and metal working. That makes me wonder if Norm ever got into making custom rifle stocks. That takes a lot of skill and artistic talent, far more than what I have. But I'm sure he could do it.
ОтветитьGood guy and good shows that he was on.
ОтветитьAmericans love hard working men and women who build and or repair things. But on the other side you have Wall Street and the politicians they own. What happened to Norm is the same thing that happened to me - we got old. But at 71 I'm still at it but try to stay on my excavator as much as possible.
ОтветитьInterestingly, and never mentioned, Norm was the first baby ever to be born with that beard and glasses.
Ответитьi watched to the end
ОтветитьThat is "NAAM Abrahams"
ОтветитьAll the way ...
ОтветитьI heard Norm went to shit and the hogs ate him.
ОтветитьI learned more from watching Norm, than I ever did on the construction sites I worked. I also gained a greater love wood craft by watching him.
ОтветитьI met Norm Abram in three different seminars during his career; and he signed his signature on my shop clock and later gave me his autographed picture; which I shall cherish forever. IMHO there is NO DIY'r in the world that can better Norm Abram.
He wasted NO time. His rhetoric was never boring or "over-long"; not to mention egotistical atoll. His innate humbleness is incredibly unique. I'm glad I recorded every show of his "New Yankee Workshop". For to me there is NONE finer than Norm Abram; when it comes to woodworking.
Note: I didn't care much of watching Norm on "This Old House"; because he was shoved down into a group; and I wanted the hero!. That is why I will always believe that his producer (Russell Morash) gave Norm his OWN show; where he did everything. And it was a success sequential, if there ever was one.
How I miss him. And I am sure that millions feel the same. He was truly a "Cut Above".
Bravo, Bravo and Bravo NORM ABRAM!
It would be more accurate to say Bob Ross is the Norm Abram of whatever it is Bob Ross does.
ОтветитьI'm not a real fan but learned how to cope joints from Norm.
Edit: that was 40 years ago.
Jewish carpenters change the world.
ОтветитьAll i can say is You didn't give Old Norm much justice , with your muffle voice and high speed speech you sure made a shambles of the tribute !!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI've watched Norm and company since Bob Villa was host and don't you dare compare him to Bob Ross! Ross was a hack, Noem is an accomplishment craftsman.
ОтветитьI watched till the end! Mom and I started watching Bob and Norm the first year it was on. Mom loved those old New England homes and watching these two fix them up.
ОтветитьI watched till the end.
ОтветитьI watched all the way to the end!
ОтветитьI’m relatively handy person. But I always am in awe of those that have perfected their craft to that level.
ОтветитьBest at shop safety. I still hear his voice every time I put on safety glasses.
Ответитьnorm is like a woodworking god...loved new yankee workshop..
ОтветитьHe made so much money from PBS (the taxpayer) that he retired.
ОтветитьNorm is a great woodworker/carpenter. Bob villa was neither of those.
ОтветитьWHO ?? no not the doctor?
ОтветитьGreat video, thank you.
ОтветитьNorm is a finish and Master Carpenter most of his work would be done at the end of most projects unless making a specialty item for the project.
Ответитьwhat a waste you didnt say anything
ОтветитьI watched to the end. Norm is the Master!
ОтветитьI watched till the end…
