Haven't played with it enough to care to find out why but for some reason Unity 6.0 crashes with this asset at least in my main project

Can we use Cargo as a custom asset manager. Like importing our own assets into it just to keep them organized?

I think their assets are great for pre-rendered scenes but they are not game ready. A lot of the models I've tried in the past had poor topology and optimisation for real time purposes. You would likely have to spend a lot of time cleaning up all the meshes and re-baking textures before using them.

Those coloured button looking things in the prizes seem suspiciously like the touch toys my Border Collie uses to dish out her orders for the day🤣

Kitbash content is ugly, unoptimized and this giveaway is not for commercial use.

Also just an fyi, Mission to Minerva IS available for free use in commercial projects for individuals. I guess they changed it up for this Kit...kind of disappointing, but I get it. Was hoping they'd allow commercial use at least for individuals.

Just a guess why this is happening. Kitbashes models are expensive and they probably haven't been selling. The sales are probably low. This at least lets people look at their content before making a proper purchase.

my main complain with cargo is that their buildings are not truly modular, I mean I downloaded a building kit and wanted individual wall kits... I got the doors but that was about it

But my question is: if I pay the professional subscription license... then I can use the assets? But if I add the assets to my game, and then intend to sell my game... Do I need to keep paying as long as my game is being sold or what? Can I just pay once, download everything and use it in all of my games going forward? I don't get these subscription models...

Unfortunately, Kitbash has no linux version of their Cargo app.

I bet it's dangerous to even get it you could forget the license terms and end up using it in your games and end up getting screwed later.

I downloaded Cargo.. and registered.. but when I tried downloading the Free version.. it starts .. but always ends with an "error" code.
Does anyone else get this ? Or even successful download ?
I use the Cargo Desktop App to download - I don't believe it's possible via Blender ?

When I tried installing Cargo it wouldn't work. I reached out for support. Complete silence, so I uninstalled and unsubscribed.

Well, I am thoroughly unimpressed with KitBash. Downloaded their app, couldn't get it to connect to anything. Spend about an hour, finally go it to connect to Unreal only for the app to always become unresponsive and I didn't want to spend any more time trying to fix it.
Decided to call it quits and just get rid of my account since all of their "free" stuff can only be used for personal use anyways only to discover that they don't seem to allow you to delete your account through the website. What a wonderful experience they have provided!

I buy all of my kitbash assets individually because it allows me to use them in commercial applications. This bullshit of going to a subscription base useage is killing the industry and it's way to restrictive.

I'll take the blender files, you can keep the rest of your trash

Thanks, but no thanks. I have (like lots of people here) tons of assets from UE's marketplace, even Cosmos/Leartes, optimized with AAA quality, and with no restrictions whatsoever. Maybe someone looking to experiment with some concepts it might be useful.

I might already be spoiled rotten by the likes of Epic and Humble, but if I have to go through the trouble of installing their Cargo app to even claim that kit and apparently can only use those assets for personal projects, I'm not too impressed here...

No Linux support for Cargo. Well, now I have a new kitbash account and no way to use it.
