231,000 miles and all original powertrain on my ML350 and NO problems, car is 13 years old. They didn’t just invent the car, the engine and most of the tech in every other car. They perfected it. I’ll never drive anything less.

I had a 1998 clk430 as my first car in Germany, zero problems, now I drive a 2004 clk200, zero problems. I think newer MB cars are kinda too much, a friend of mine have have a 2019 E63AMG, till now he is okay at 110k kilometers, will see later for what problems it will bring.

I worked at a Mercedes dealer ship in the 1980s. It has nothing to do with Alabama, we had the same problems in the 1980s although obviously not quite as much electronics but still a lot. The German engineering thing has always been at least to some extent a lie. They did drive and handle and stop great but were an expensive nightmare repair wise back then too.

Totally agree. Mercedes and Audi are my experience as an owner. Mercedes works for about a year or so, then those systems seem to need repair. Our Audi Q8 is up to well over $10K in REPAIRs, not just maintenance, which is also fairly expensive. The sales guy could have charged me a lot more for the car warrantee extension, hah. Meanwhile, my Lexus doesn't need anything but maintenance, which I do myself, saving me a LOT of time and money.

There are 47 on-board computers in an E320 W211 so you must expect some trouble. You have the money for the car, now look after it. As far as the brake rotors are concerned, you can buy after market pads that cover the whole rotor, AFTER YOU MACINE the ridge around the outside. Simple, hey?

Thats reason why i only own old w124 300d. Easy to fic, cheap parts and reliable. New mercedes are really opposite.

not sure why the new Mercedes built in the USA is so bad. I scanned my 2011 s550 made in Germany and only one code because previous owner touched up the bumper and accidently covered the right rear parking sensor. Fixed it by re touching it up properly and wet sanding.

This is not just Mercedes, its every car today which are rolling computers. This is either a lemon or the dealership is milking the owner lmao

I drive a 2016 e-class that has 430k km on the clock. No errors on the scanner. And here in Bulgaria we don't change pads + rotors every time, we change rotors once every 3-4 pad changes. So yeah, you cab drive a Toyota that never brakes and rides like a horse carriage, but where's the fun in that ?

my cousin and i both have 2009 mercedes c class. Mine is c200 german, his is c300 american. he has 100k miles on it, i have 140k miles on it. he's had several problems on it and i've had way less. Never got the check engine light on, never had ABS problems and all that. German Mercedes is the way

I would never and I mean never buy a mercedes or a BMW even if I had the money those cars have always been over rated crap just like the people who like to drive them.

He’s telling the truth In 2014 I own a 2007 I had one front shock that was bad I went down into very deep hole in the street and damaged it, I checked on the price to replace it the parts were $500 so if dealers repaired it would be 1,200 so I wanted to repair it myself then I find out I have to purchase a special tool that so expensive I changed my mind and also I had second thoughts about being under that heavy vehicle for long periods of time I changed the oil myself and I didn’t like being under the car for to long but I love changing the oil to look at how well made the vehicle was oh yeah guys each oil change will cost 💲 you $100 plus dollars 8 1/2 quarts of synthetic all the money 💰 you spend on maintenance which will be costly is worth it no other standard vehicle is like The Mercedes it’s smooth fast and safe it’s Quality in my opinion if you can get Mercedes mag wheels 🛞 you can keep and have a older Mercedes that look good and have value!

I had a c240 4matic from Alabama and one from Germany. Both were great but had the same minor issues. But the Alabama one had a couple problems I didn’t have with the German one. So Scotty is correct on that and the brakes. I didn’t know about the washer fluid. Gonna check that out.
