Kali Linux WiFi Alfa Adapter Fix

in my Kali, error when issuing command make:

make[1]: * /lib/modules/5.15.0-kali3-amd64/build: No such file or directory. Stop.

what should i do?

I did the same explanation and the problem was solved, but after a while it didn't work for me. I don't know what to do, can you help me please

Hello. I have a problem. I did everything as you showed. My Alfa AWUS036AC adapter became visible in iwconfig. And it works in monitor mode and sees surrounding networks. But when I try to connect to any network, Kali freezes. Only a reboot saves.

Привет. У меня есть проблема. Сдеалал все, как вы показали. Мой адаптер Alfa AWUS036AC стал видимым в iwconfig. И он работает в режиме монитора и видит окружающие сети. Но, при попытке подключиться к любой сети, Кали зависает. Спасает только перезагрузка.

Good Morning and sorry for the early comment, i have and alpha adapter specifically the AWUS036ACM ive tried to run it with kali linux but when ever i put the usb option to enable it so i can see on kali it automatically disable it self on windows meaning it wont let me do anything on kali i know the usb adapter cant be shared but what else can i do? i kinda new to this and if u see this comment pls help i would really appreciate it , sorry for my bad english

When I do the lsusb I get Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0003 Linux Foundation 3.0 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub. There is no information about the network adapter. Also, when I google my network adapter (AWUS036H), it should work right away but it isn't. Hmm. feeling like I'm in a rabbit hole of problems. Any suggestions? thnx

Relevant today (Oct-2023) as well when running Kali in VirtualBox on an Ubuntu 23.04 host. Kali kernel here:
Linux kali 6.5.0-kali2-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.5.3-1kali2 (2023-10-03) x86_64 GNU/Linux

Used the aircrack-ng driver (both host and VM). Even though the host Linux system could access the card, the VM couldn;'t (even though lsusb in the VM could see it). These instructions absolutely solved the issue. I also selected Realtek 802.11n NIC USB filter in VirtualBox. This appeared from the beginning, but Kali wouldn't acknowledge the card until the instructions in the video were followed. More info:

I did have to sudo modprobe 88XXau in the Kali VM after the driver install to get it working.

lsmod from Kali VM:

A bit late to the party, anyone experience windows crashing when plugging the USB NIC into the pc? My VMware settings is set to connect to VM and not host but still BSOD me

ive been trying to set up my AWUS036AXM NIC with the MediaTek MT7921AUN
chipset on a kali vm forever now. and i cant figure out how to get it too work, its not being detected by the usb ports at ALL. does anyone have a singular clue on how i can make this thing work? any advice at all would be very much appreciated

Kali linux after installing the driver in virtualbox vm of kali properties add the usb select the realtek and magic it shows on the kali VM 😊

This still doesn't work for me. Using bridged adapter network in Virtualbox, as soon as I connect to wifi it causes insane stuttering on the VM. Applications wont even open and terminal won't even execute commands at all. I've installed multiple VMs and it doesn't work on any of them, and I know it works because it works perfectly fine on a fresh kali install then once drivers are installed for the adapter, and it's rebooted, it starts doing exactly what I described.

if i put iwconfig in the first and it shows me the adapter, i dont have to install anything?

The ALFA adapters work in a KAli VM running on windows, but they do not work on a Kali VM running on linux. Any idea how to get them running on a native linux machine with a kali VM? I've tried the AWUS036ACH and AWUS036ACS, both with no joy.
