I liked his performance at tje Republican debate last week. You could really tell he got under the skin of that Sload Chris Christie.
ОтветитьBy breaking the karmic cycle you become the dreamer that creates it.
Huh.
Really wish Hinduism woulda told me that more explicitly, like you did here, a lot earlier in my life.
This is why I take LSD.
This all actually makes perfect sense to me 🤔
I killed Vivec.
One gets a dialog option so one can tell people, "I killed Vivic."
They all say one is crazy.
My friend asked, "Why? Isn't he the good guy?"
Na, he's a man pretending to be a god and has people worship him. I pulled ot my Daikatana and told him "Well, then god this MoFo."
I finished his quests first.
Personally, after much reflection... Vivec wasn't born a human or a god.
He was born...
As a dildo.
Take it or leave or shove it in your glory hole... you too ladies.
But a dildo.
Fudge muppet? Seriously? Thats what you landed on?
ОтветитьYou're telling me Vivec is a damn futa!
ОтветитьIf you just sit at the character creation screen at the start of Skyrim, Alduin never attacks helgen, he never tries to eat the world, Cicero never brings the night mother to the sanctuary, the emperor never dies, the eye of magnus never nearly blows up winterhold, the war never ends. You, raceless, nameless, genderless, hold all this power by simply not doing anything.
I think vivec has the same power the player has.
No shit
ОтветитьVivec is nonbinary 💕💕💕
ОтветитьI used to love Vivec and the tribunal I STILL DO DEEPLY AS CHARACTERS but I read and interesting Peace on The tribunal and Dogoth Ur and How Dagoth was in love with Indoril nerevar and the Tribunal Killed Indoril For the power from the heart of Lorkhan and Indorils Last Words to Dagoth was to protect the heart of Lorkhan from the Tribunal. It was really interesting theory and I actually Think that's kinda what happened what I believe anyway so I see the tribunal as The True Bad guys and I see Dagoth Ur as a falen Anti Hero
ОтветитьViveka (Sanskrit: विवेक, romanized: viveka) is a Sanskrit and Pali term translated into English as discernment or discrimination. Viveka is considered as first requirement for the spiritual journey. Advaita Vedanta Darshana interprets viveka as discrimination between the real and the unreal while Visistadvaita Vedanta Darshana interprets viveka as discrimination of food.
According to Rao and Paranjpe, viveka can be explained more fully as a sense of discrimination; wisdom; discrimination between the real and the unreal, between the self and the non-self, between the permanent and the impermanent; discriminative inquiry; right intuitive discrimination; ever-present discrimination between the transient and the permanent.
vivecs not a he
ОтветитьI'm like the only person in the fandom who finds Vivec repulsive. Granted, his stories are written in a way that defies most people's reading comprehension. But from the outset I always saw him as a perverse, violent, and warped narcissist.
Hell, you don't even need to be able to understand the weird ass poetry of his stories. He killed his own best friend and persecuted innocent people to keep it a secret for centuries.
They stole the Tribunal idea from the Silvenar, Green Lady, And Wilderking. The living gods of Valenwood.
ОтветитьThe 'death' of Alduin causes what ist literally a dragonbreak due to Alduin being the 3rd act of Akatosh/Nordic. Manifestation of Akatosh which means thats its posible that akatosh is now multiple dead Aedric entity
ОтветитьIts interesting because once vivec came to realize his mistake and allow the events of morrowind to take place he should have been able to see his own disappearance, the collapse of the meteor, and the eruption of red mountain. And he probably thought all those things would be great for his people because tge survivors that suffered through would be following the true path
ОтветитьBut if a dragonbreak is retroactive then how are there books that have a different account? Unless the author is lying? Or talos purposfully allowed the original accounts to remain?
ОтветитьI remember playing morrowind, uh, however long ago it was and thinking vivec was cool as hell but sotha sil was weird on another level
ОтветитьI remember killing him like he was a lil bish
Ответитьi wish i could side with dagoth ur tbh
ОтветитьIs this video how you honor the 6th house and the tribe unmourned?
ОтветитьThank you @FudgeMuppet for this very lovingly made and extremely well documented video.Vivec is by far my favourite character too, and the grey area in how he is positioned in between the crimes and betrayal of Nerevar's murder and all of the good things he did for his people. I was really moved by your interpretation of the 37th Sermon too which totally went over my head as his ultimate longing for normality. THANKS! :D
ОтветитьMy first impression of the whole "I did and didnt kill Nerevar" sounds like Vivec is just coping and making excuses for murdering a friend who cared for them.
I think in ESO, there's a cool moment where Sotha Sil briefly talks about Nerevar and it seems like Sotha misses Nerevar or regrets doing something, cool little moment.
Vivec was delusional, he was fixated on his own awesomeness.
ОтветитьWho else was just tryna watch a trip report 20 mins ago
ОтветитьHouse Dagoth: disliked that
ОтветитьI never played morrowind but Vivec seems like a big lying bastard only there to serve Vivec. Mephala seems like a good Spirit for him to parody.
ОтветитьI will achieve CHIM
ОтветитьThis game is so damn good
ОтветитьSomething I feel a lot of people forget when they talk about CHIM is that, as far as I’m aware, most lore about it comes from Vivec. And Vivec is a known liar. Now I don’t know for certain if CHIM is a thing in Elder Scrolls, but you gotta remember that the sermons are more less Vivec’s way of fooling the people of Morrowind into truly believing he is a god. That’s how I see it at least.
ОтветитьHow did Morrowind fall to the Empire under the tribunal?
Ответить"He was a born, not god"
ОтветитьSo... Vivec is Chris Chan, but with a species wide hive mind following?
Oh my god...
Yeah sounds like something an N'wah would say
ОтветитьSooooo you think this simple ass character is deep and you clearly never played Elder scrolls 3, GOT IT. lmao "you s'wit."
ОтветитьBetween your content and EpicNate and some other creators; we’re spoiled on all these lore videos. Seriously thanks and yours are always such high quality.
ОтветитьYou know you could just read the Bible to understand Morrowind.
Might need to read the Apocryphal Texts of the Gnostic type particularly if you want to know Vivec, the Betrayer of the Saviour. You know.
Which is the most incompetent organization?
I put my vote out for the dominion.
“Great, we destroyed the world. It’s not like we took down the only defense against the prince’s that we have. We have a bargain. Yeah, they’ll honor it when they have all the cards.”
What are they expecting that they can stand up to the strongest cosmic beings? Their souls would be eaten as a snack to go battle with the good gods, and you think the good ones wouldn’t partake, too. In the end, the mortal bounds protect mortals.
Lorkhan planned to make more children for Padme within the bounds of the will of Anu. So he used the children already in existence to make infinitely more through mortal conversion.
Where once there was a clear separation between the will of Anu and Padme, it is now both intertwined and against itself.
No, to me in the end vevic is just doing some serious mental gymnastics to justify what he has done. You see this a lot with first time killers who never kill before. They come up with wild logic to try to justify and not face what they had done. In the end it just mental smokescreen to flee from their guilt of facing what they had done emotionally.
ОтветитьYou know, all these concepts are very close to Yoga Philosophy, and the characters/gods are similar to the Hindu deities. Perhaps that's where Michael Kirkbride got the inspiration. I love it!
ОтветитьThe Tribunal are easily my favourite thing about The Elder Scrolls.
Especially Vivec with the whole symbiotic relationship with the people's worship.
Mortals becoming gods is just such an awesome concept.
Wish Bethesda would give this level of depth to the other races, Dunmer got all the good freaky lore smh
ОтветитьI killed Vivec.
ОтветитьBeing late to the Elder Scrolls. I recently finished the main story of Morrowind for the first time.
I was lucky, I suffered almost no persecution the Ordinators didn’t even react to seeing me even as an outlaw.
I haven’t formed any theories yet. But I enjoyed the conversation and made the most of it.
After Dagoth Ur was slayed, I wanted to talk to him again. I had the key and thought it was worth a try.
To my delight he was up for another chat!
Gotta love how everyone except Sotha Sil just hit on Nerevar. Vivec offered paid amusement ("I can do it both ways *wink*"), Dagoth really liked his intellect and Almalexia... well I have no idea what Nerevar found in her. He shouldve married one of the others instead.
ОтветитьWell, watched 3 videos of yours. You got +1 subscriber. Will definitely watch everything you have about ES lore. Nice job
