Instax Mini Evo in Minneapolis | Street Photography POV

Minneapolis is underrated! The skyways add some real character alongside the Prince murals and cool nature surrounding the downtown core

I never imagined Minneapolis was such a cool photogenic place until I saw your video. I also have an Evo but use it mostly in the studio to give my subjects an instant memento for them to take home with them immediately after our shoot. The plus is I can also make a quick duplicate to put in my memento book.

I always really appreciate a skyway when I see one anywhere else, because they're so distinctive in Minneapolis. It definitely makes me want to pay a visit there again and look around, especially since I was not close to being a mature enough photographer while I lived there briefly. I also just got to play a little with a friend's new Mini Evo and it really is a wonderful mix of analog and digital. A really great snapshot option, for sure, especially when corrected some distortion from a phone camera shot and could print it from the Evo ... so fun!

Do you think the Mini Evo is good for street photography ?

I get really tired of super-sharp resolution monster cameras. Shooting video, I have always looked for way to degrade the image to make it more interesting. Especially back in the 8mm and dv-cam days. This little camera has a kind of special lo-fi appeal. I have the li-play. I'm gonna take it out and try it again. Thanks for the inspiration!

Nice video.. I am thinking about purchasing the instax evo. What other cameras do you use? How do you feel about the evo now after having it for some time?

Hey, how long does your battery last ? Used my evo for the first time and it shut down after about an hour and 30 shots.

This is such a cool video! I’m an illustrator not a photographer and I am in awe of how you see the world around you! I’m looking to get this camera to play around and figure out how to get more creative with the things I’m seeing. Thanks for sharing!

The downside of the skyways is the empty sidewalks. If you're a street photograph who moves through the masses, it gets boring here pretty quick.
