If white smoke in warm weather is a bad sign, what is the normal color? Basically also white, but less rich, or what? If there is any smoke (and there has to be) it should be barely visible white, right?

My AC went within a year and I've been trying to get it replaced and for some reason. That's not on recall, and it should be because it took less than a year to actually have my A. C. Go I was going to Massachusetts from Vermont and my AC went this summer. I've been trying to do everything I can to get it replaced but no one wants to go ahead and do it. I told him I had a budget. White smoke could also indicate valve seals.

Some cars are tuned a little rich from the factory, especially high revving Hondas. Nothing to worry about on that one unless it has other symptoms as well. Especially if the soot smells like unburnt fuel, if the soot has no smell to it then the slight richness is fine.

Lean is the motor killer anyways, running rich will just hurt your MPG and may foul up your spark plugs at worst. Heavily lean especially on a boosted motor can spell instant death in just one pull if the AFR gets low enough.

I have a broken muffler pipe. and today i turn it on and white smoke coming out. i call the shop they said i need a gasket for the muffler since is also leaking water.

It could be the piston rings or you have a 2 stroke rotary, but thats unlikely

My mechanic said the white bluish smoke was a problem with head gasket as I was using a quart of oil a month and catalytic converter or new engine. He has 35 years experience, a friends 27 year old son asked when was the last time I had changed the PCV valve, Had no clue what that was, turns out the part on my 2001Z28 cost 5.99 cents and took just less than 3 minutes to replace. Problem solved within 2 minutes. Smoke completely clear. 5.99 part versus 4,200 engine replacement. You're welcome.

This guy again 🙄 the exhaust on that Nissan at the start of the video is aftermarket so therefore if it’s a straight pipe which it probably is then you will get a lot of black smoke… 🤦🏼‍♂️

You're actually wrong on some of that. Almost half the time why car smokes have the do with their Pvc Valves.

I put four bottles of oil motor oil in the car then when I started the car it started to throw us a lot of whitish gray smoke what does that mean did I put too much oil cause it wasn’t coming the smoke was coming from underneath the car not from the front of the car please get back to me
