I remember watching this game with my pops pissed as all hell when the Giants went up 31-10 thinking the game was over and my pops turns to me and predicts that the Eagles would come back and win. I was about to check the house for drugs hahaha…then they immediately answer with a touchdown and I too believed. Knew the onside kick was coming…dunno how the hell the giants weren’t ready for it. Vick was in the best shape of his life that year and had the best coaching of his career with Andy Reid and you could see how deadly he was now that he changed the way he approached the game after receiving a second chance on life. Yes the dog fighting ring was disgusting but he made the most of his prison time and changed his life including his habits when it came to practice and watching film let alone just being a better human being. Leavenworth must’ve had a great gym hahaha. Anyway…once the game was tied we knew the Giants wouldn’t run the ball and play for overtime…being stupid and stopping the clock with those two incomplete passes and being predictable enough to get sacked on third down. It was as if we scripted it in our living room knowing D-Jax was scoring on that punt before it was even fourth down. Sometimes you can just see a choke job happen in slow motion while the team playing it out is so gone they don’t know they’re making one dumb decision after another. One of my favorite memories watching sports with my dad.

These commentators are watching Super Man, and their acting as if its normal...SHM

This never gets old.

The best part of this game, by far, is the repeated camera shots of Coughlin getting angrier and angrier on the sidelines as the Eagles make their way back. Lol. He reminds me of an angry grandma 🤣

I love the Birds but never liked Vick. He was exciting but not a winner. As Norm Van Brocklin said about Fran tarkenton and has been proven right ever since, “he will win games he should lose, he will lose games he should win, but he will never win the games he has to.”
Cunningham, Vick, Jackson etc have proven Van Brocklin prescient.
Steve young was not a running quarterback, he was a quarterback who could run, just like our guy now -Jalen Hurts. Hurts isn’t a running quarterback, he’s a quarterback first that can run

What a strange game. Especially the ending.

As a Giants fan, despite the fact we missed the playoffs because of this game, this is still one of my favorite regular-season games, EVER.

God, I love it….and feel a little bit sorry for Matt Dodge, for being dogged out by Coughlin and couldn’t get away from him

I cant believe this was 12 years ago. I was at this game and stayed until the very end!

I forgot all about maclin and celeck. Man this offense for the eagles should have been one of the best ever and definitely for the cost of those guys when young. McCoy, Jackson, maclin, celeck, good I line and Vick.

If you watch the whole game, the Giants are dominating the Eagles the whole time. Except for a few times when the Eagles score. That really describes sports in a nutshell, right?

I’m sad to admit that I was watching this game with my dad and my uncle all die hard eagles fans and I left when the score was 31-10🤦🏽‍♂️ They called me when the game was tied and the bar was going CRAZY! Miss these days and this team so much 💯
