Hello Mark, I really enjoy your channel and photographs, you share some great tips and even more amazing photographs. What I couldn't find and I think you maybe could share are safety tips. I'm going for a trip to South Africa and obviously I'm planning on doing typical touristic things but as a keen photography hobbyist I would love to get some sunset and sunrise landscape photos but I'm told that travelling by night is not a wise idea to say the least. I'd love to see your opinion and tips on this subject (I'm going to visit Blyde river canyon area and places on panorama route before I go to Kruger NP).

Will the batteries deplete even if not in use? How do u pack them for week worth of -20°c trek. Pack them with hand warmers throughout the trek?
