followed the steps exactly and the links, got a blank screen with no entry symbol after clicking install os x

i did it but it can´t opdate the software

I wanted to sell my 2011 IMac 27”, so I to clean it and not I can’t reset it new. It was running High Sierra, but now not when I try to reboot, it would go to Lion with the message can’t download. Tried command+shift+R, the reboot planet spins for 1+ minutes then it went to Apple sign and freeze screen

I just completed all of your instructions, late 15" 2011 running lion. Everything went fine until it got to the final stage where the X comes up on the screen says installing mac os x about half way through it went to a blue screen was very loud initially then went silent and stayed blue showed about 23 minutes remainging. Any suggestions please would be very helpful. It was a brand new ssd harddrive purchased from OWS but i had tried an internet recomvery on it so it did have a recovery file.
