Netflix's Triple Frontier Review

"A list cast elevates B list content" So basically Sicario then?

This movie is not made for people of colour, white reviews only please.

It's like a trailer for a review.

Why would they not use silencers for a covert mission? You can see in the trailer they don't. Seems like they can get almost any equipment they want. Targets are close range and not wearing armor. Why would they not use them when stealth is priority? Plot error or am I missing something?

I didn’t hate it although I wouldn’t watch it again, it felt like it was lacking something I dunno 🤔

7.2/10 - not enough Mozambique

"It fails to capitalize on its own premise." What did the premise promise? It's a heist film. The dramatic ones always end badly for the thieves. The action-comedy ones end with the charming thieves winning it all. This one went differently and I dug that.

the Metallica songs made me give it an 9/10 instead of a 7/10

These dudes were basically depicted as anti heroes throughout the the first two acts but then towards the end they tried to turn them into full warm hearted heroes

At one point I was convinced Ben afflect was going to go full renegade and just kill everyone, his teammates included. But then they turned him into a martyr out of nowhere.

6/10 the first half of the movie started okay but then it just got long and boring, I had to force myself to finish it 😔

Wtf is wrong with IGN?

This movie was EPIC

The movie had plenty of potential but fizzled out, couldn't decide to go all-in for the "our heroes deserve better" or "all the killing catches up with soldiers eventually" narrative and fell in between. They simply didn't get their target audience's expectation: "i want Black Hawk Down but green and wet". It's sad they can't make a "war" movie these days that properly glorifies combat and violence (let's be real that's why we're watching action movies and not Restrepo or Gunner Palace - do see both btw) without adding the obligatory moralizing and moping. (i blame Hurt Locker for that). Also why is it that every special forces movie lately shows the soldiers dealing with loosing members with crying and fisticuffs and screaming matches. I'd accept it if they were ordinary recruits but it totally undermines their supposed elite training and warrior mentality and all that. This and such unnecessary tropes bring down the film down to an okay but meh level. There are some standout moments setting up Ben Affleck's character to get proper dark as he gets more and more ruthless for "his" money, but they back out of that as well. I wouldn't be surprised if the story originally had much more darker tone before they edited it into a more mainstream ending.

Just finished watching this movie. I was hoping for a lot more. Lots of plot holes. Poorly written. They could have ended up with A LOT more money.

How did this get 7.2, this was a descent movie at best, I was bored and had such high expectations for this from the trailer and cast

I saw THE END when Ben's character died.

It was so plain and character backgrounds were so bad.
