Complete this sentence: My favourite electric car is... ?
ОтветитьWhile I do appreciate Tesla's level of technology and efficiency, I really think that ride quality is the most important factor for a car. How satisfied you feel inside the car when idle, and when driving. So Volvo is the clear winner for me. Also the Google system is great. But the real dealbreaker for the model Y is that now it doesn't come with parking sensors and Tesla Vision works poorly, this is unacceptable in the city.
ОтветитьI prefer buttons in my car, so Volvo it is.
ОтветитьC40 looks the best
ОтветитьSo modern interior means one disgusting looking touchscreen and thats supposed to be innovative ???
ОтветитьNone of them they are all shit
ОтветитьThe one thing you missed in the comparison is the reliability factor!
My Audi is the most unreliable car I have ever purchased and it’s supposed to be the flagship model! It’s been in the garage (Caffyns) for more hours than it’s been on the road. Which is why after 16 months of ownership and loosing £65k in depreciation I am getting rid of it and buying a model Y.
I love your road tests Matt, but it’s these little things (haha) that make all the difference. Like the 3 year warranty probably due to the unreliability, like the £25 per month connectivity charge compared to £10 for Tesla, like the 2 year servicing cost of £370 when Tesla has none and like the bl***y diabolical back up from Audi when you have continuous problems. I could go on…….
Tesla Model Y LR Won by the maximum range
ОтветитьMy money went to a 2023 Model Y. Heck of a car.
ОтветитьAlmost 10 thousand pounds difference as configured between the Tesla and The Audi. Woof.
Ответитьthis guy is just annoying and has no taste in cars
ОтветитьThis is a poor comparison test. What about important things like build quality, battery longevity, reliability and safety ? I've heard that the Tesla is the worst in crashes because of bad build quality.
ОтветитьHang in a minute, can we have some consistency please? You reviewed the Q4 (before the Model Y came out) and said it was the best electric SUV on the market, and recommended that people BUY at the end of that review. You then reviewed the Model Y when it came on the market and only recommended to add it to your 'Shortlist', whilst stating that "It faces some pretty stiff competition" ............... and now......... you are saying the Model Y is better than the Q4 Etron? Surely recommending to 'Buy' something is better than only a 'Shortlist' and one minute you are saying the Model Y faces stiff competition, only to wee-wee on that competition in this review? Come on mate, I love your reviews and enjoy watching them, but please be fair and consistent. Thanks
ОтветитьMy favourite electric car is Audi Q4
ОтветитьJust ordered a Q4 40 Black Edition, gotta say it’s the best looking of the 3, the Volvo ain’t pretty and the Tesla looks like it needs something else to finish it off at the front. Can’t argue with the outcome in terms of features and performance.
ОтветитьI agree with all the arguements and the winner. But I dont like the design of Tesla, sorry. Its just not nice
ОтветитьWe own both Tesla and the Audi Q4 (in the regular boxy guise) and like them for various reasons, price notwithstanding - currently Tesla is over $10K cheaper AND qualifies for additional incentives, making it an unbeatable value. Tesla's charging network is second to none and the car can also use all other chargers with a cheap adapter.
However, Audi includes common button-operated controls and AndroidAuto/Apple Carplay, and it takes some effort to trick AndroidAuto to work in the Tesla (and Google Assistant lags, anyway).
When driven locally, their efficiency is quite similar. However, Audi's staggered tire setup and the observed tire wear will definitely require new shoes sooner.
If someone wants to have two different EV brands in the household, every non-Tesla brand is pushing into $60K price territory, anyway. I'd take Audi over Chevy Blazer EV for the same money, even if it has a few extra features (and a shorter warranty period). How about you?
they did this review in ireland
ОтветитьGreat review!
ОтветитьI’ve driven the Tesla non plaid version and the Volvo. The Volvo is faster off the line fully charged
ОтветитьNot buying anything from Elon Musk. Genesis GV60 is great.
ОтветитьThe build quality of the Tesla (all Tesla's) is terrible, and it looks like a fat duck waiting to pass wind.
ОтветитьI drove all three. Audi was the quietest. Tesla was noisy! Drove both freeway and highway. Bjorn rates Q4 etron pretty high. I think its Audi for me!
ОтветитьVolvo: better acceleration, better brakes, better suspension, better looking inside and outside. I rest my case 😁
ОтветитьIf you want to know which is best you should have put the E V 6 it would outrun all three of them😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьEV's, not safe, not eco friendly, not interested.
ОтветитьI only wish that C40 would have better range and a lower price, in my opinion it looks best! Great video as always!!
ОтветитьTesla the best of this 3? Forget it!
ОтветитьI don't like the design of the Tesla Model Y both outside and inside. How it has become the succes it has, I really don't understand..
ОтветитьI'd rather have the volvo c40.
ОтветитьJust ordered tesla model y
ОтветитьTesla's are supremely ugly
ОтветитьAudi looks premium, tesla is ugly cheap chineese plastic. Volvo is not my cup.
ОтветитьPracticality that is just BS
That goes to bothe the Volvo and the Audi as they are made for people...
Tesla dont even have cargo hooks to strap down cargo.
Also The charger network for Tesla is open for all cars.
And Gen 2 of the Volvo more or less in the same level as the Tesla...
And tech... Seriously. Tesla is only more efficient becasue it runs as a RWD most of the time even the LR...
This you notice in winter time...
Been driving the Y for 6 hours, and im not going to Tesla to say it like that...
I'll actually be so harsh to say my XC 40 gen 1 recharge is tons better, it could have more range, but I get to charge to Tesla prices on their charges so who cares...
Tesla is simply bland, boring and ugly!
ОтветитьI would choose the Fisker Ocean over these 3.
ОтветитьThe prices of EV's are absolutely nuts!! I've been thinking about the possibility of changing, but the cost of them is so prohibitive. The one thing that's got me sniffing about again, is the new MG range and their more realistic prices.
ОтветитьGlass roof is not such a benefit in Australia. Especially given that there is no shade to close. Burning the bald spot.
ОтветитьI couldn’t put up with the looks of the Tesla , it looks 🤢
ОтветитьI almost bought the Tesla, but after a 30 minute test drive, my wife and 20 year old son and I all had pains in our thighs and hips and back from the rear seats. Tesla need to improve their seat comfort big time.
ОтветитьMaybe just make video with 5 minutes of ‘’click on the banner up here’’, interspersed with ‘’carwow’’ plugs and adverts. Don’t bother with the cars cos there are far better channels out there without all those plugs.
ОтветитьOk, so the toad-shaped abomination was the winner. But you're right, the inside is pretty sleek.
ОтветитьYou can get acceleration boost on tesla that will beat the Volvo :)
ОтветитьNot sure if the screen was blurred or been made?
ОтветитьCompletely disagree. Volvo, Audi, then Tesla a DISTANT last. The Tesla build quality is GARBAGE - and the interior is a horrible place to sit. Tested all three about 6 months ago and bought the Volvo. The Tesla was a garbage can. Ugly, cheap build. Felt like a recycle bin when you close the doors. And int he Tesla if you hit a pothole the entire car feels like it's coming apart. Volvo is solid as a tank. Audi just had a weird interior and you could see some of the painted exterior around the interior door jams.
Ответитьcar tesla moid y
ОтветитьThe Tesla Model Y is bumpy, it's rattly, when I want something I need to take 2 minutes on the screen, it's unreliable, bad build quality, cheap materials, a steering wheel that wobbles up and down when you move it, the top of the door wobbles, horrible brittle sound on the trim when you knock it, fabric on the bottom of the seats, not covered back cup holders in the armrest and covered with cheap plastic, when I put down the back armrest while in drive it makes a loud rattling sound, bad door closing sounds, cheap fabric speakers and part of dashboard which gets worn out quickly, the roof window gets orange in the sun, back seat shaking around while drive, back seat belts unsupported so they fall to the side any time you move, scratchy seat belt material, the backs of the front seats are covered with cheap scratchy plastic, old Teslas had a manual opening storage in the centre console, new Teslas centre console storage place is dangerous and can get your hand scratched and caught, back windows only go half way down, zero back window visibility, squeaky windows, loud cabin noise, barely any configuration choices. If you question me, I tell you that I test drove two Teslas for myself. Teslas should be £15,000 - £20,000 not £50,000, it just doesn't make sense. Beware, Tesla is a scam.
- Add on: Before I went for my test drive, it took me 5 minutes just to open it. I placed the card onto the door pillar where it was meant to be and it just didn't open, Tesla should just make a key for goodness sake and trying to be "unique"!! I don't want to take 5 minutes opening a car thank you very much.
Teslas are unique. Uniquely bad.
The Tesla is also much cheaper now. The price has come down alot
ОтветитьBest design - audi
Best tech - tesla
Best car for people over 40 years old? - volvo
