From my weeks of research, I've been hearing the e5-1620 (orig release or v2) or the e5-1650 v2 are best for gaming. My concern is the AVX or other support. Seems as though it supports AVX, but not AVX 2.0. Along w a lack of PCIe 4 and DDR4 support.
ОтветитьI bought my 2670 for 23 dollars and 5 for shipping still a great choice for 2022
ОтветитьWhere's the gaming comparison?
ОтветитьIn 2021 they’re now as cheap as 10$
ОтветитьI think what you will find is the xeon is better at multitasking. All of your test are using a single program running one at a time. Xeon was designed for heavy multitasking in a business environment. Maybe do an experiment with installing linux on 2 or 3 VMs, then benchmark a game while the installs are going. Or transferring gigs of data across the network while testing game performance.
Ответитьcould you give me a cheap good cpu for a dell optiplex 990 i5 2500 sff
ОтветитьCool video. I am watching this on a Dell Precision T1600 with a Xeon E3-1245
ОтветитьHoly time.
ОтветитьHe says buy a workstation and change it look at tech yes and he shows a variety off humanzi movie for £40 to £80 matx or atx
ОтветитьI don't get why everyone using these high core low clock xeons why not get a higher clock like my 8 core 8 thread 3.3ghz
ОтветитьI got a 3.3ghz 3.6 turbo 8 core for £60
Ответитьya but those Mobo on Ali Express don't have enough PCI slots. Pity. What MOBOS will the Xeons fit?
ОтветитьI wish there were more OEM's with dual sockets for cheap. Would love to use two of these.
ОтветитьNow you can get 1700X for 120$ lol
Ответитьbro just download more cores
ОтветитьThe first problem you made was buying a Lenovo pc i don’t care about the price just at least don’t buy a lenovo
ОтветитьThis is totally unrelated but can I use Nvidia control panel on a GT 1030 also can I pair my core i3 3.2 GHZ with it or should I buy a different one :(
ОтветитьI picked up an E5-4627 recently from Ebay for $60. It's not a well known CPU, but it outperforms the 2670 by about 25% according to Userbenchmark. Pretty cool. No HT though
ОтветитьShow gaming performance
Ответитьaren't xeons quad channel cpus? meaning they work better with 4 dimms? isn't there performance loss when you run it with 2 dimms?
ОтветитьWhat about AMD FX 9590
ОтветитьGreat vid
ОтветитьThe Xeon would perform nicely in a hackintosh
ОтветитьYes. Test it againt ryzen and games please!!!
Ответитьthis video is almost perfect test for monitor ghosting X)
f%#¤)(¤# i hate this samsun 27" curved gaming panel and it's ghosting issues (video looks like jumping back and forth when panning)
WOW, Intel fanboys are pretty desperate...
ОтветитьThe R 1700 is now around 160$
ОтветитьFuck at your speed
ОтветитьDUDE U NEED TO GIVE ME THE CPU I HAVE A TRASH AMD A8
ОтветитьTalked to much video way to long dislike and nextttt
ОтветитьI have a i5 7600 and a gtx 1070 and am still buzzing don't need a i7 my Asus z270f is still a beast
Ответить88cb single thread rating? Damn, this is slow. Even if this was 60 core it would still suck hard in games and in almost any normal desktop usage and I would prefer the Ryzen.
ОтветитьThe reason Mac pros are $5000 and anything Apple with higher price tags than anything else are their design, their ecosystem, and big industry marketing. So you can’t compare that cpu chip from another.
ОтветитьShould maybe inc energy running costs?
ОтветитьPffft 5 years some FX proccesors destroy the xeon ez and fast
ОтветитьLol a Mobo with 2x 2660 and 16gbs of ddr3 is like $490 at my place
I go with x3440
You should try dual socket dell t5600 also ...
ОтветитьEncoding without AVX2 is a pain. That Xeon at 2ghz would be worse at everything than even a Ryzen 2400g.
ОтветитьDislike. He hasn't even shown gaming differences even though he said he would.
Ответитьi7 3930K VS Ryzen 1700?
ОтветитьOf course, you could also go with a E5-1650 V2 or E5-1650 or E5-1660 on a HuananZhi X79 Deluxe for about $260 in total, add an NVME (yes, the Deluxe supports that too) and 32GB of DDR3 EEC 1600 RAM ($70-80)...a slight mutliplier OC to 4.0 with air...add a small fan ($2) to the VRM...and voila. Not bad for gaming...it will not set any world records but more than enough for 1080P Ultra (with a GTX 970 OC or 980...or similar).
A used ASROCK extreme 3 or 4 can be had for about $200, if OC to 4.5Ghz is necessary. I have one rig with the E5-1660 and Extreme 3 running at 4.4Ghz, no problem. CPU Temps are quite fine with a AliExpress dual fan 6 pipe air cooler. I did hang a small fan over the VRAM to keep temps OK too.
I built three X79's, one for me and the other two for the kids. With 2 new cases (CoolerMaster RGB Pro's, 2 new powers supplies, etc. I spent out of pocket $1200. Of course, one of these rigs is a DELL Precision T5600 with dual E5-2667 that a got for free. However, I did buy three GPU's in this budget too.
E5-2660 with gyx 750ti can it run fortnite on 100+ fps ? and does it get botteneck ?
ОтветитьFor people doing 3D rendering .. old Xeons is the best route .. hands down ..
The real catch though would be old work stations running on dual Xeons. Less space, heat and power .. I have 4 of those .. each has 12 cores - 24 threads - 24 gigs of ECC ram .. all 4 of them cost me like a brand new top of the line I9-9700K machine (without a gpu even !!) .. needless to say in 3D rendering, they will utterly destroy the I9 ..
this comparison is completly wrong, because he's is comparing the prices. The R7 1700 is way more expensive because its the retail price, and the XEON is cheaper because its the current price of that old hardware, so giving the XEON extra points for the price is completly bullshit because its not the retail price....
Ответитьthis is one year ago and its interesting how prices have changed now you can buy a ryzen and a b350 motherboard for 150 bucks wich in my opinion makes for a better option
ОтветитьI guess this is nothing to do with gaming.... Why am I here?
