Doesn't look AT ALL like film... looks like digital; here's why. You are trapped in this modern trend used to grade digital where the whole image doesn't go above 700 Nits or so.... dead giveaway that not only is it digital, but that it's part of this modern trend to normalize the look you are doing, which doesn't look good... it's just become so ubiquitous people think they need this look; it looks like shit. Go LOOK at actual film. Look at movies from the 50s and 60s, there are instagram accounts that take film negatives and scan them into a computer and grade actual film negative... you NEVER see it look as dark, dingy, and muddy as this crap. And why? BECAUSE IT'S FILM, no one is shooting film to have it look all dark and crappy like this, film can hold lots of highlights, video can't... which is WHY this look is being pushed now that digital is becoming dominant, it's becoming the new standard now because digital camera can't preserve detail in highlights.

When you install this, do the nodes auto appear in, say DR like in the video? Like the EXPOSURE, WB, etc?

Look. Do not try and emulate film, because, digital cannot emulate analogue. Let digital be digital. If you want a film look, shoot with a film camera.

Inspirational work brother! As a DaVinci resolve user, would i get a similar outcome using Filmvision 1 vs 2? I can't find what the major differences would be. If someone could point that out would be appreciated.

Hi serr, I was wandering: could we incorporate the warm love, cine green and tungsten blue looks inside FilmVision V2? Or where could we find them? Many thanks from France.

Super 16 is a great app. Nice color grading options, adjustable film grain emulation, camera emulation, etc. Love the retro celluloid 70s look. The adjustable fps rate function is great as well.

hey there serr!

I am very new to all of this, but I will get an iphone soon that can shoot in the new apple log format, and I've been looking around for ways to emulate the film look.

I've so far landed on the free version of davinci, paired with some form of color grading - but it looks like it will need quite a few workarounds to get the features of the full version and bigger plugins like dehancer or even the halation and noise features of this powergrade tool to work. Is there a way to get the halation and noise to a point where it is comparable to the "big money" plugins?
