My browser caught the UltraSystem malware and I've spent all day trying to zap it. EDIT: I think I've removed the UltraSystem malware entirely as I can freely edit search settings in Chrome, but the browser management tab is still there.

This might help some people. The way I got it restored is that I deleted my user profile on chrome and logged back on afterwards. all my extensions and favourites were there. I really hope this helps some people.
