I bought a WR250 and didn’t like it. I now have a 300 Beta XTrainer. Like this much much better. 4 stroke bikes suck.
ОтветитьMy first bike was a CRF80 when I was 10 that I got for Christmas (best Christmas ever to this day). My first bigger bike was a 92 KDX 200 and sold a few years later. I recently started rebuilding another KDX and bought a DRZ250 from my fil for an absolute steal
ОтветитьI want to buy my first bike and im thinking about to get a Ktm sx 250cc 2t and I don't know if it's a good bike ??
ОтветитьCbr1000rr with dirt tires is the best starter bike for the trails
ОтветитьThanks for your advice, happy to learn from you.
ОтветитьIts pathetic most dirt bikes or endro trail are the awful 4 stroke piles of garbage.
ОтветитьI started on an xr100 for trails. Perfect for a smaller person but i would say crf230 or ttr230 or 225. Perfect power for a starter. Also honerable mention is those cheap chinese amazon bikes like the hawk and things. Very low power motor exactly what u need to learn to ride. Still fun to mess around on and will teach you clutch control too
ОтветитьTtr125 -> yz250fx -> yz250
Wbu guys?
Well ...First Bike .. a Husaberg Fe 600.. yea ... Its a Bit much.. 😂 but hey dont need to buy a bigger one for some years 😂😂
ОтветитьDRZ400SM
buy it for $3500, 39hp lectric start, plated on/off road dual sport. 2500 mile oil changes. Learn dirt and street on same rig then sell it for 3500 or keep it forever and then buy what CC you can grow into
Is a kx250f too much? I’m 6’4 185lbs
ОтветитьCould you update this based on the new models?
ОтветитьKTM 525 is not a beginner bike.
I just bought one a few months back. I'm not a beginner, but the bike makes me feel like one!
Went with a 1982 xr500
Ответитьwow i dont know how you could miss a insanely good and perfect bike for beginners is the kawasaki ninja h2r perfect for begginners and dirtbikers
ОтветитьCrf 450r is the best for beginners
ОтветитьAfter mx and enduro bike
Enduro is the best for the begening
And low power is the best for maximum experience
I was riding trail bikes at 15 , it was a 180 2 stroke Yamaha RT 180 and after a couple years i needed more power. Looking for something to toss around now maybe a 350-450 cuz my buddies Honda 250 is still a bit lack lustre for someone who knows how to ride after a few hours of practice. I did trail mostly and was and still am 154-165 pounds
ОтветитьWhere were you 1.5years ago (lol) when I bought a CRF 450R because I weighed in the 235 range and had a little past experience riding.
She ate my breakfast a few times. So, I just bought a 2023 KTM 125 XC.
I do believe she will be all this 54 yoa dude will need.
P. S. I lost weight bc of that 450 beast. So, the 125 XC should feel like a toy. Lol. 😅
I started with a ktm 85sx. Im 135lbs and 5'2" I think its the perfect bike for a smaller person. Seat height around 30 inches..and she fast Boi!❤❤ love dirt bike channel!
ОтветитьI started with a 450 as well and I really don’t see the big problem it was honestly a good learning experience, you just have to respect the bike
ОтветитьScrew that I’m getting a damn 450
Because I’m not buying another one when I get more advanced .I’m not rich so I’m buying 1 and when I’m experienced would want a 450
I went from a yz125 to a CR500 after a year or so of riding, it was intimidating at first but one of the most exciting and fun rides out there. That was 12 years ago or so.
Edit: I grew up on four wheelers so I wasn't completely new to riding, just on 2 wheels.
Xr250r or crf250f best for someone who has never ridden before
ОтветитьYamaha xtz 125 for me. 2023 year 31 and just started
Ответить98 cr250r. Love it. I'm used to sport bikes.
ОтветитьCould a person start on a yz250 2 stroke
ОтветитьThe KTM 105 is a good bike for teenagers and women that are just getting into the sport. My second bike was the KTM 105 with a couple of mods to help it ride a little bit better in the woods. It was a great bike for me to improve clutch work on and get faster. My Mom also loved the bike because it has good power plus it’s a little smaller than the 125. My Mom is about 5’5 so the smaller bike let her touch both feet down and that helped a lot with confidence.
ОтветитьI’m about to enter the hobby😉
I have an eye on 2018 freefide 250f.
Do you recommend to buy this bike?
125 2 stroke. Don't care about the brand. If you can ride a 125, you can ride anything.
ОтветитьI got a kx125 2t as my very first bike. Not recommended
ОтветитьWhat about a KTM 350?
ОтветитьMy first bike i got is the beta RR 125 lc 4 stroke 2011 (second handed)and crashed 2 days after for being a dumb ass playing with clutch and gas making pop sounds and i fell so ride safe people don't do dumb shit
ОтветитьMy first experience was the 1986 yellow and black YZ 80!! used to scare the hell outta me as a kid.. it was extremely fun! but scary! because when that power band kicked in.. you would have to get up on the gastank.. I think it was going at least 80 mph!? lol careful out there..
ОтветитьI think it's awesome that some bikes still keep it optional with the kickstart / electric start. That was the first thing that ever attracted me to a dirt bike! lol as a returning rider at 40. I haven't been on a bike since my teens.. I'm really thinking of the dualsporting thing.. CRF250L or the 300L.. my dealership had the 250L in stock yesterday and finally saw it for the first time. it's looks a lot bigger in person. but I'm 5/11 190.. I'm wondering if I should wait for the 300L or go with a 250L.. it will be a new hobby for me mostly street riding. I just don't want to lose interest by having a not so inspiring returning relearning experience. I'm probably over thinking it? thanks
ОтветитьI'm about 220 going to pick up an 07 yz250f for my first bike I thought it was going to be too powerful this vid has given me some hope lol
Ответить4 strokes typically require less gear shifting and they have alot more compression braking and they have a wider powerband than 2 strokes do. 4 strokes require less effort to ride well. IMO 4 strokes are better for beginners.
ОтветитьThe 2nd generation klx300r is ridiculously easy to ride. A great beginner machine 4 sure.
ОтветитьI’ve been doing a Deep Dive in to researching (older 4 stroke) that can be DOT plated. I’ve watched Hundreds of Hours of vids.
Kudos to YOU, as you are in the Very TINY group of channels demonstrating the Intelligence to recommend smaller displacement bikes.
It just BOGGLES my mind, these channels recommending 400+cc bikes as ‘beginner friendly’ … !??! It’s absurd beyond words. Many reasons, but let’s start easy … a Beginner WILL go down. And what is the likelihood of an Average sized BEGINNER of being able to upright a 400+cc bike ??
Is a ktm 125 sx good?
ОтветитьWhat’s the best used 250f dirt bike. Value, reliablity, performance. Yamaha?
ОтветитьMy first bike was a ssr 125 pit bike now I'm on the Honda crf230f
ОтветитьAwesome info This is a very old post, but it’s still at the top……6’2 210. Looking at KTM 250 XCF, you mentioned it was a race oriented, but I will only be doing open woods, trails in the Midwest, then soon going to the deserts of Scottsdale. What is the 250 XCFW? Does the W give it woods or trail suspension?
This is my first dirtbike, I’ve raced on the track plenty with street bikes, I know it’s not the same but I should be able to bring a little bit of that over. I’m also 42, and just trying to put down trails, not going to race, but want a nice bike. I keep hearing people mention frame size, is there something wrong with a full frame? Is it because they’re too heavy, or people mention soft frame or stiff? A frame is metal, to me they’re all stiff…what do they mean? I read the SXF has air and oil bypass something, does the XCFW have this also?
I started on a Honda crf 450r you have to learn how to tame it but I had 90 and 110cc motorbikes for the roads before I got the dirt bike
ОтветитьHi I’m 14 years old and way around 50kg and am on a kx85 big wheel and would like to know what type or size could be for me
ОтветитьGood advice. I went out and bought a new KTM 450 SXF after being off bikes for years. lol It was a handful. That bike has the beans. I'm 250lbs too so thought it might be good to go with larger size motor. 60hp...lol. I could have probably progressed quicker on a 250 or 350 I think.
ОтветитьQuestion: For a 280lb 6’2” , 66 year old who wants to ride forest roads and easy trails in MT…would a simple 125 be too small …again…Im older…just wanna get out and casually ride
ОтветитьWhat bike was in front of him?????
ОтветитьKyle What about the ktm 250 sx-f 2020 for Enduro use from expert driver with some modification (bigger tank)??? it is the Motocross model for Europe.. what is your opinion??
ОтветитьWish I would of saw this giveaway 4 years ago 😂😢
