As a Pakistani I am ashamed and embarrassed to watch what cruelties and atrocities were inflicted on Bangladeshis. We were always taught that India is our enemy and that we had heroes as leaders who were just and fair. Sad to know how crippled is our nation and how unjust were our leaders and military. As a nation Pakistan is in shambles and rightly so but still a vast majority of the population believes in the racial superiority of Pakistanis over Bangladeshis. We have never even bothered to publicly apologize for the actions of our leaders and army as a nation. I at least on my part feel really sad to see this happen and how distorted our thinking is. I am an optimist but when it comes to Pakistan I don’t have much expectations from the leaders or the general public to accept their wrongdoings.

This was clearly a strike to Hinduism. Before 1971 the proportion of hindus to muslims in bangladesh was 30%. Today it has become 3% only.
