This video is 8 years old, but I am watching it before skating tomorrow at my local rink in London, UK. Still 100% useful. Thank you!
ОтветитьWith these videos and as a member of iTrain I have years of drills ideas now to fill all my stick and puck time for myself and for my kids. I used to be a skateboarder and these videos are like a massive library of "skate" tricks but for actual ice skating ⛸️ 😆 Can't wait to build my skills to extol upon the other team. SO stoked !
ОтветитьMy edge just catches when I try to use the whole blade to stop. I find I need to put my weight closer just behind the ball of my feet
ОтветитьAre you wearing knee pads?
ОтветитьI wonder how often he has to sharpen his skates? He's fast.
ОтветитьMy knees get sore just watching.
ОтветитьYou are my teacher for ice skating I know how to skate correctly because of you I've seen many of your video it's very helpful!! after I can do like half of this video I'll try to learn hockey either
ОтветитьSheesh!
ОтветитьI have problem with stopping on my right outside edge .. when I want to stop on right outside edge, my leg is junmping or it looks like the ice is bumby but actually it isn´t ..
ОтветитьAs a college kid just trying to get into this, thank you for these. This looks hard but I'm gonna try.
ОтветитьDude your hustle is legendary. This video is legendary. On top of those 2 you added the Quick Reference Guide to Drills. Wow... #1 video on the internet about training yourself from a beginner to a pro.
ОтветитьCanadians hockey we are best in the world
Ответитьcoach thankyou for the lesson
Ответить#1
ОтветитьI swear you could do a great Fred Astaire dance videoclip with all this footage.
ОтветитьI'm such a beginner to skating (44 years old now), I just want to be able to skate well so I'm watching videos as I can't find a teacher where I am yet. You are probably the best skater I've seen, so much skill it's amazing...but I think that also has a negative effect on a beginner because I feel like I can't even begin to do most of what you're explaining 😂
ОтветитьThis guy is absolutely excellent. Treasure of a resource for players, coaches. One preface to the excellent skating instruction, expertly fitted and sharpend skates essential enabler.
ОтветитьWhat type of cut do you have on your blades 5/8" ?
ОтветитьThese videos make me wish I could go back in time 30 years and start learning all over again. However I'm sure I can still improve a lot in my 40s and hopefully still play for another 20 years
ОтветитьThank u sir... All the way from ladakh india....
ОтветитьThis guy’s skating is absolutely insane. I don’t know anyone (even some NHL players) who can do all these skills
ОтветитьYou have are very good ice
ОтветитьWhat an awesome skater he is
ОтветитьReally liking your instruction and overall presentation style. Your a talented teacher that’s for sure. Love thé content.

ОтветитьSean is probably one if the best hockey coach out there! Keep up all the good work!
ОтветитьVery useful. Although I am not playing hockey just a 45 years old dad who wants to improve his skating skills to play catch on the ice with the kids :)
ОтветитьSir u r a legend. Sir i want teach ice hockey sir can u make some videos and send me plzzz sir...🙏🙏
ОтветитьGrew up playing hockey in the 70's and 80's playing hockey. I would have KILLED to have training like this just freely available. Just excellent training and inside knowledge!
ОтветитьHello coach! I really like your lessons, but I do not understand many things, since I am from Russia and do not speak English. I have a big request for you, turn on subtitles on this type and then I can translate them. Thank you coach.
ОтветитьКрутой чел ! Кто ты? Тренер? Катание бомба.
ОтветитьGreat videos. Thank you.
ОтветитьA+ video here. Going to use some of the outside edge drills to improve my stopping.
ОтветитьЖалко, что в школе я учил немецкий...
ОтветитьThe best
ОтветитьAny concerns with knees collapsing inwards??
ОтветитьGracias
ОтветитьI appreciate being called kid being that I’m 30.
ОтветитьWhen stopping on your inside edge one footed. How do you transition your foot sideways to initiate the turn. I try but I just turn on one foot? Or catch the edge and fall. I need a tip
ОтветитьThis is an amazing instructional video! Thank you so much coach!
ОтветитьLove this brotha!! I still need a lot of work to do, but you give me hope.
ОтветитьYour vids are an amazing resource. I send these videos out before practice to all the parents to show their players. For practice, I demo then have them do it. It makes a huge difference. Saves me time and helps the player visualize before they come to practice. Thanks!
ОтветитьDamn, awesome. Guy’s like a friggen robot on the ice.
ОтветитьWhen I first viewed this a few years ago, I could do none of the drills. Now I can do most of them, but I can still find plenty to help me improve further. The only area of disagreement is that my coach tells me not to lean my upper body in when doing crossovers. She also gets me doing lots of skating in a circle drills with only one leg moving to improve my crossovers. I’m not fast, but that’s because I’m old. Excellent video, I’m sure I’ll watch it more times.
Ответитьhearing the ice crack never gets old.
ОтветитьWhen I played hockey I wish I was half as good as this guy, I am over 60 now and I really enjoy the sport of hockey. I don’t know if this instructor has clinics in different parts of the country but he should. If my daughter was into hockey I would like her attend his clinics. My daughter who is an adult now became a marathon runner and never was into watching or playing hockey.
